Royal Agar is a 2024 unisex fragrance by Deraah Private in eau de parfum concentration.
It is a striking woody fougère composition in which the cool freshness of citrus and mint gradually gives way to spicy, resinous and deep woody facets.
The fragrance is built on contrast: its invigorating, almost sparkling opening does not make it frivolous, but instead prepares the way for a rich, composed development.
Royal Agar feels confident and contemporary—an option for those who enjoy noticeable fragrance accents without excessive sweetness.
In the first minutes, bergamot and grapefruit stand out especially brightly: their gently bitter juiciness is supported by minty coolness, pink pepper and saffron.
This opening gives the composition an energetic character and a beautiful spicy sparkle.
Then the fragrance becomes drier and more expansive. Labdanum adds resinous-balsamic density, patchouli emphasizes an earthy texture, and vetiver brings a clean, austere woodiness.
In the base, amber, amberwood and oakmoss leave a warm, mossy and slightly mineral trail.
Royal Agar has very strong sillage, so it quickly makes its presence known and is clearly noticeable to those around you.
Its character can be described as composed, sophisticated and somewhat evening-appropriate: the fresh facet is used here not for airiness, but to contrast with the dark woody-amber base.
This eau de parfum performs best in cool weather, in the evening, for a walk, a meeting or an occasion when you want to make an impression.
In warm indoor spaces and hot weather, use it with particular care: one spray on the skin is usually enough to get acquainted with the fragrance, while on clothing it is best applied sparingly and from a distance.
Despite its unisex positioning, Royal Agar will especially appeal to admirers of woody, fougère, amber and spicy compositions with a clear structure.
It does not aim to be a neutral background scent: this is a fragrance with character for those drawn to minty-citrus freshness, dry vetiver and a dense amber base.
For a comparable direction, you can try Chanel Bleu de Chanel: both fragrances share a modern fresh woody character, although Royal Agar places greater emphasis on saffron, resins and a powerful trail.
This release expands the Deraah Private range of striking unisex compositions with an expressive character.
