Perfume information

Description of the composition

The composition of L'Intrigante unfolds as a living composition, where layers reveal themselves smoothly and sequentially. The creative approach of D'Orsay is recognizable in the way notes appear and fade. No excess details, only what works, and the composition keeps a clear direction. Eau de parfum emphasizes a balanced rhythm of unfolding.

At the opening of the pyramid you detect piquant warm top notes: Black Pepper, Juniper berries, Myrrh and Spices. Exactly these 4 notes shape warm spicy pulse that gives the fragrance a clear opening statement.

In the heart you notice Camellia, Clove, Orange blossom and Rose carrying a velvety rose-iris direction.

The accord profile rests on these accords: Balsamic, Floral, Musc and Wood without random overlap. Additional accords such as Leather and Spicy enrich the profile without taking over.

From the group perspective the profile is anchored in Spicy, Fruit, Balsamic and Musk. It also reaches into Floral, Whiteflower, Wood and Leather. At family level the scent maps to East, Floral and Spicy.

Overall L'Intrigante sounds complete from start to finish — the first stage creates momentum, the middle layer carries the identity, while the drydown anchors the memory. These are the fragrances best understood in wear.

Persistence
The persistence of a fragrance is determined by how long it can be felt. It is a characteristic associated with ingredients that evaporate slowly. Persistence depends on the physical properties of the perfume ingredients—mainly their volatility and environmental factors such as temperature and humidity.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

Very conspicuous

Complexity and depth
The complexity of a fragrance is the number and variety of notes that create a unique composition. A complex fragrance contains many different notes that reveal themselves on the skin. The depth of a fragrance is the richness and intensity of the fragrance. Fragrances with a deep composition include heavy and powerful notes that stay on the skin longer and affect others over long distances.

I ordered a sample, but it seems my mom kept it. She couldn't appreciate this scent either. It's complex, too much for ordinary perception, especially if you're used to simpler smells. There's so much clove in it that it even made me a bit uncomfortable. Mom thinks it leans more towards a men's perfume
