Identity and Release History

The perfume Elizabeth Arden Always Red, known in Russia as 'Always Red', was released in 2015 and represents a fresh take on women's perfumery from the legendary brand Elizabeth Arden.

This fragrance quickly gained popularity among fans who appreciate boldness and elegance in one bottle.

The brand Elizabeth Arden, founded in 1910, is a symbol of the American dream and innovations in the beauty industry, and Always Red continues this tradition by offering affordable luxury and quality that make it an excellent choice for modern women.

Positioning and Wearability

Always Red is a women's fragrance in the form of Eau de Toilette, belonging to the Floral and Oriental families.

Its medium trail makes it ideal for daily use, from workdays to evening events, providing a comfortable and unobtrusive presence.

The fragrance develops dynamically: initial fruity chords give an energetic start, the floral heart adds tenderness, and the warm base creates a cozy finish.

For optimal longevity, it is recommended to apply it to pulse points of the skin, such as wrists and neck, as well as a light cloud on clothing, to enjoy it throughout the day.

Always Red is especially well-suited for cool seasons, thanks to its oriental notes, but its versatility allows it to be worn year-round—it becomes a wonderful companion for spring walks or autumn evenings.

This perfume is compliment-getting and easily recognizable, making it an excellent choice for those who want to emphasize their individuality.

If you liked this fragrance, you might also consider similar perfumes, such as Giorgio Armani Si, Nina Ricci L'Extase, and Giorgio Armani Si Intense, which also combine floral and oriental elements to create memorable compositions.

Authors and Influence

Information about the specific perfumers who created Always Red is not specified, but the fragrance perfectly reflects the DNA of the Elizabeth Arden brand—a balance between classic elegance and modern trends.

It strengthens the brand's reputation as a creator of affordable and quality perfumery, attracting a new audience while remaining true to its roots.

Description of the composition

The note pyramid of Elizabeth Arden Always Red begins with juicy top notes: passion fruit, plum and red orange, which provide an instant burst of freshness and fruity sweetness, creating a bright and memorable start.

In the heart of the composition, elegant floral notes unfold: freesia with its delicate and airy aroma, jasmine sambac, adding exotic depth and sensuality, and the classic rose for a romantic and sophisticated accent.

The base of the fragrance is built on warm and long-lasting notes: ambergris creates an enveloping and sensual aura, mahogany imparts woody stability and nobility, and praline completes the composition with a sweetish and cozy finish that lasts long on the skin, leaving behind a soft and alluring trail.

Persistence
The persistence of a fragrance is determined by how long it can be felt. It is a characteristic associated with ingredients that evaporate slowly. Persistence depends on the physical properties of the perfume ingredients—mainly their volatility and environmental factors such as temperature and humidity.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

Rose with fruits, sweetness in every accord. The fragrance is rich, long-lasting, and leaves a trail. Overall, not bad, but a bit too obvious

Too sweet and just screams across the whole area. Rose with plum, as if someone poured a pile of candies and added dry sticks to them. This oriental scent is too intrusive and blatant, it's just annoying

Rose, jasmine, and plum - all of it as if wrapped in chocolate glaze and resting on a wooden surface. The scent is very rich, bright, long-lasting, and leaves a trail. It's somewhat reminiscent of lipstick, but at the same time, there's something mysterious and alluring about it. I can't say for sure if I like it or not

The smell is beautiful, of course, but it's too intrusive. Bright, yes, but not in a pleasant way. Rather, it's as if someone decided that fruits are the only thing needed. Compare it to Si by Armani? Oh come on, don't make me laugh! The creators from Arden seem to have simply overdone it with fruits, and the result is some unbearable cocktail. Honestly, I don't understand why everyone needs to get acquainted with this fragrance

How sad this is. I've already shared my impressions, but now I've opened a new bottle again, and my heart is filled with longing. This fragrance is like berries drowning in sweet syrup, but alas, it doesn't leave a vivid trace. Affordable, yes, but it lacks the depth to truly captivate 😔

A fruity fragrance, with a bright blackcurrant that clearly stands out. Fortunately, there's no unpleasant smell that might remind you of cat business. It's more like a sweet blackcurrant jam. Perfect for both everyday use and special occasions 🍇

The scent resembles a thick fruit jam with praline notes. Plum and passion fruit clearly stand out here, creating a sweet combination. Although it's truly beautiful, if you don't like rich and vibrant scents, it might not impress you )

The scent is interesting, of course. It's rich and intense, with notes of sweetness and tartness, which gives it a special emotionality. But its complexity makes it not so easy to use - you wouldn't wear it every day. For special occasions, maybe it would fit. Personally, I don't quite like it; it somehow doesn't match my mood or character. In general, not for everyone ))))
