Perfume information

Description of the composition

The olfactory structure of Dark Woods unfolds as a continuous scent journey, where accents shift without rush and without gaps. The signature of Etos is evident from the opening to the final trail. No excess details, only what works, and the fragrance holds its character from opening to trail.

When the structure is mixed the opening appears as one connected movement with a airy lemon mood: Bergamot, Clove, Lavender, Sandalwood and musk. In this format 5 notes sound as one voice, creating a burst of citrus freshness that keeps the opening compact and balanced.

The deeper layers are read as a continuous motion from lift to depth, which gives the structure continuity.

The olfactory framework is shaped by these accords: Aromatic, Citrus, Musc and Wood forming a compact and readable structure. Additional accords such as Spicy add depth to the backdrop.

At the note-group layer the structure relies on Citrus, Spicy, Green and Wood. It also reaches into Musk. From a family perspective the composition sits in Spicy and Wood.

In summary Dark Woods holds a coherent structure — the first stage creates momentum, the heart develops the core line, and the final phase leaves a stable imprint. These are the scent structures best experienced through real development.

Persistence
The persistence of a fragrance is determined by how long it can be felt. It is a characteristic associated with ingredients that evaporate slowly. Persistence depends on the physical properties of the perfume ingredients—mainly their volatility and environmental factors such as temperature and humidity.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

Very conspicuous

Complexity and depth
The complexity of a fragrance is the number and variety of notes that create a unique composition. A complex fragrance contains many different notes that reveal themselves on the skin. The depth of a fragrance is the richness and intensity of the fragrance. Fragrances with a deep composition include heavy and powerful notes that stay on the skin longer and affect others over long distances.

The name doesn't match what it smells like. It's not a woody scent, but rather a handful of cloves soaked in lavender oil. There's something to it, but if a perfume has too much clove, like the spice, then I don't consider such scents for my family
