Fragrance information:

Dolcissimo Sollievo Filippo Sorcinelli arrived in 2022 — and it was immediately clear this one was here to stay. A unisex fragrance from the east, floral, aromatic, and balsamic families. This fragrance is the personal signature of perfumer Filippo Sorcinelli. The fragrance belongs to the musk, floral, and aquatic groups. The palette of this fragrance is exceptionally rich: traces of whiteflower and balsamic can also be found — a rare combination that makes this perfume truly one of a kind. In perfume extract — and that's all it takes to fall in love.

Expect a noticeable sillage — enough to be remembered, not enough to overwhelm. For fabric application, 1-2 sprays are plenty. It settles in and stays — the longevity is genuinely high. Made in Italy. Dolcissimo Sollievo Filippo Sorcinelli — the choice of those who appreciate depth and character in every detail.

Perfume information

Description of the composition

The note pyramid of Dolcissimo Sollievo unfolds as a continuous scent journey, where accents shift with precision and warmth. The style of Filippo Sorcinelli comes through in the way notes appear and fade. Nothing here feels random, and the structure feels complete all the way through. Perfume extract emphasizes the depth and body this composition needs.

From the group perspective the structure relies on Aquatic, Balsamic, Floral and Musk. The framework further includes Whiteflower, Ambery, Wood and Spicy.

As soon as the fragrance opens you catch spicy-amber top notes: Ambergris, Patchouli, Tonka bean and Vanilla.

In the heart you meet Iris, Jasmine and Marine accord carrying a velvety rose-iris direction.

The olfactory framework rests on these accords: Balsamic, Aromatic, Gourmet and Floral forming a compact and readable structure. Additional accords such as Musc, Wood, Powdery and Amber add depth to the backdrop. The gender direction is unisex, which makes the scent profile easier to read. In wear duration High suggests confident staying power.

Overall Dolcissimo Sollievo holds a coherent structure — the opening sets direction, the central phase adds depth, and the base secures the trail. These are the scent structures best experienced through real development.

Persistence
The persistence of a fragrance is determined by how long it can be felt. It is a characteristic associated with ingredients that evaporate slowly. Persistence depends on the physical properties of the perfume ingredients—mainly their volatility and environmental factors such as temperature and humidity.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

Morning in a Catholic church by the sea – that's how I see it. The opening of the fragrance is sharp, with herbal and lemon notes, like a sunbeam piercing through water. The drydown is surprising: the incense here isn't like most of Filippo's perfumes. It's bright and kind, reminiscent of the warm hands of a priest preparing the censer before service. A light musky accent adds purity. Lily of the valley and rosemary emphasize this cleanliness. Suede iris and woody notes create the boundaries of the scent, through which the sea incense strives to break free.

A musky, slightly rubbery note tries to make the fragrance more synthetic, and over time, it succeeds. A salty-musky sillage remains on the skin, slightly illuminated by incense. I'll think a few more times about whether I need this fragrance. For now, I'm leaning towards a positive decision, it brings back too many childhood memories for me. The opening reminds me of Xerjoff Casamorati Regio, and the heart is the musky retro sound of Sospiro Opera. Italian perfume notes are always easily recognizable. Thanks to Sergey Borisov a.k.a. moonfish67 for the samples 🌊
