Perfume information

Description of the composition

The olfactory structure of Alpha unfolds as a cohesive olfactory arc, where layers reveal themselves without rush and without gaps. The signature of G Parfums is recognizable in the pacing of the notes and the overall aesthetic. No excess details, only what works, and the composition keeps a clear direction. Eau de parfum supports the depth and body this composition needs.

The internal accord map is driven by these accords: Animalistic, Balsamic, Gourmet and Musc with each one in a clear role. Additional accords such as Wood, Amber, Leather and Spicy expand the olfactory volume in the background.

Without strict stage separation the notes arrive together with a soft-dry woody mood: Ambergris, Castoreum, Cedar, Civet, Frankincense, Leather accord and Oud.

The deeper layers are read as a smooth transition from opening to trail, which preserves the scent identity through drydown.

At olfactory-group level the profile is anchored in Ambery, Animals, Wood and Balsamic. The framework further includes Leather, Spicy and Musk.

Overall Alpha sounds complete from start to finish — the start forms character, the middle layer carries the identity, while the drydown anchors the memory. This is the type of composition best understood in wear.

Persistence
The persistence of a fragrance is determined by how long it can be felt. It is a characteristic associated with ingredients that evaporate slowly. Persistence depends on the physical properties of the perfume ingredients—mainly their volatility and environmental factors such as temperature and humidity.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

Complexity and depth
The complexity of a fragrance is the number and variety of notes that create a unique composition. A complex fragrance contains many different notes that reveal themselves on the skin. The depth of a fragrance is the richness and intensity of the fragrance. Fragrances with a deep composition include heavy and powerful notes that stay on the skin longer and affect others over long distances.
