Giulietta Capuleti Soul Drops: Story and Character

Have you ever wondered what love at first sight, mixed with a rebellious spirit, smells like? Giulietta Capuleti Soul Drops is exactly that kind of fragrance.

Launched in 2011 by the Italian brand Giulietta Capuleti, it is dedicated to Shakespeare's most famous heroine. It was created by perfumer Enrico Scartezzini.

This is an eau de parfum for women from the floral family.

An Olfactory Journey

From the very first seconds, Soul Drops envelops you in a cocktail of juicy blueberry, spicy pink pepper, and delicate florals—geranium, neroli, honeysuckle, and chamomile. Can you sense the sparkle?

At the heart, the fragrance gains intensity: passionate rose, velvety violet, and tart pomegranate intertwine with spicy black pepper, thyme, and sensual jasmine.

The base is a declaration of eternal love: Bourbon vanilla, warm ambergris, patchouli, Virginia cedar, oakmoss, and musk.

Perfect for those who love a fragrance that unfolds gradually, like the chapters of a captivating novel.

Wear It with Character

This fragrance is more than just perfume; it is a manifesto of determination and romance. Its moderate sillage leaves a mysterious trail without overwhelming those around you.

Ideal for evenings out, dates, and moments when you want to feel like the heroine of your own story.

If you are looking for something with a similar mood, consider By Kilian Woman in Gold, M. Micallef Pure Extreme, or Hermès Twilly d'Hermes Eau Poivree.

Persistence
The persistence of a fragrance is determined by how long it can be felt. It is a characteristic associated with ingredients that evaporate slowly. Persistence depends on the physical properties of the perfume ingredients—mainly their volatility and environmental factors such as temperature and humidity.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

The fragrance is indeed interesting. The rose here doesn't scream, but rather whispers, which gives it a special charm. It smells very natural and elegant, as if transported back to the past when true masterpieces of perfumery were created. It seems like this is the very scent that could have surrounded Juliet in her romantic moments

This fragrance is clearly not for me. It's too intrusive and heavy, creating a suffocating feeling. Romantic and feminine? I don't know, rather, it weighs on your mind. I doubt I'd choose it for myself

This fragrance evokes mixed feelings. It combines passion and determination, yet there's something relaxing and soft about it. Thyme, no matter how you look at it, adds notes of sincerity and naturalness, making the composition more vibrant. But alas, it feels like something important is slipping away, and that brings sadness 😔

The pepper is noticeable here, but the rose still comes through more brightly. In summer the scent was softer and more interesting, while in this damp weather it's become a bit simpler, though it still has that light, airy floral quality. There's a slightly old-fashioned vibe to it, but in a pleasant way, with none of that grandma's closet smell. The bottle is gorgeous, the packaging is solid, and every detail is neatly done, they even included a feather. It looks expensive and presentable, but in my opinion they've seriously jacked up the price 🤔
