Description of the composition

The note pyramid of Instinct Gold unfolds as a layered story, where notes flow without rush and without gaps. The creative approach of Glenn Perri is recognizable in the way notes appear and fade. No excess details, only what works, and the composition keeps a clear direction. Eau de toilette emphasizes a balanced rhythm of unfolding.

The stylistic positioning is feminine, which sharpens how the fragrance is perceived.

In the top tier you detect invigorating sunny top notes: Bergamot, Mandarin, Orange blossom and Plum.

In the central layer you sense Jasmine, Orchid and ylang-ylang carrying a silky white floral direction. In the base the line is anchored through Ambergris, Frankincense, Patchouli, Sandalwood, Vetiver and musk, extending a warm vetiver trail.

From the group perspective the structure relies on Citrus, Whiteflower, Fruit and Floral. The framework further includes Ambery, Balsamic, Wood and Musk. Within olfactory families the fragrance belongs to East.

In summary Instinct Gold holds a coherent structure — the start forms character, the central phase adds depth, and the final phase leaves a stable imprint. This is the type of composition best judged on skin.

Persistence
The persistence of a fragrance is determined by how long it can be felt. It is a characteristic associated with ingredients that evaporate slowly. Persistence depends on the physical properties of the perfume ingredients—mainly their volatility and environmental factors such as temperature and humidity.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

Very conspicuous

Complexity and depth
The complexity of a fragrance is the number and variety of notes that create a unique composition. A complex fragrance contains many different notes that reveal themselves on the skin. The depth of a fragrance is the richness and intensity of the fragrance. Fragrances with a deep composition include heavy and powerful notes that stay on the skin longer and affect others over long distances.

The smell in the hookah lounge reminds me of dried plum, and the sweetness of the flowers simply fills the space. The woody accord is a bit powdery, but not too bright. For me, this fragrance seems more mature and heavy than feminine. Overall, it's not quite light, but rather rich and deep
