hima jomo Tchai — tea freshness with a Himalayan spirit

hima jomo Tchai is a unisex eau de parfum released in 2023.

It was created by the young French niche house hima jomo, whose aesthetic is inspired by the ineffable magic of the Himalayas.

In this composition, natural coolness and floral softness blend with a transparent tea accord, creating a calm, contemporary impression.

The fragrance belongs to the floral and green families, which is why it feels light, clean and unobtrusive.

Tchai will appeal to those who enjoy refined compositions without excessive sweetness or a dense, overpowering oriental character.

It feels equally natural on both women's and men's skin, maintaining a neutral, elegant character.

How the fragrance unfolds

Meeting Tchai begins on a fresh, slightly spicy note: the citrus spark of bergamot meets the coolness of violet leaf and the expressive character of cardamom.

The opening is invigorating but not sharp, with a subtle impression of green leaves and cool air. Gradually, the composition becomes softer while retaining its transparency.

At the heart, the fragrance reveals its floral facet. Mimosa adds a sunny powderiness, osmanthus brings a delicate fruity-floral nuance, and ylang-ylang softens the scent with a light creamy roundness.

As a result, Tchai never becomes a strictly green fragrance: its mood remains lively, comforting and multilayered.

The finish is built around tea and maté, supported by a calm sandalwood accord.

The base is dry, clean and soft, leaving a delicate impression of warm wood and freshly brewed tea on the skin.

Its sillage is barely noticeable, making Tchai especially suitable for the office, small spaces and situations where discretion matters.

Who will enjoy hima jomo Tchai

This fragrance is a good choice for everyday wear, walks, studying, work and relaxed gatherings.

It unfolds beautifully in spring and summer, as well as early autumn, when you crave light greenery and a soft tea impression.

Tchai does not seek to fill the space around you; instead, it creates a polished personal mood and fits easily into a variety of looks.

By character, the composition will suit fans of clean green, floral and tea notes.

For further exploration, consider Nina Ricci Nina, Agent Provocateur Petale Noir and Absolument Absinthe.

They do not replicate Tchai literally, but may appeal to those who enjoy its fresh, botanical and distinctive character.

hima jomo Tchai is an example of understated niche perfumery, where the impression is built not on volume but on nuance.

Bergamot and cardamom refresh the composition, the flowers soften it, while tea, maté and sandalwood shape its distinctive, tranquil finish.

This is a versatile fragrance for those who prefer a delicate sillage and a subtle interplay of green shades.

Persistence
The persistence of a fragrance is determined by how long it can be felt. It is a characteristic associated with ingredients that evaporate slowly. Persistence depends on the physical properties of the perfume ingredients—mainly their volatility and environmental factors such as temperature and humidity.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

There's only the name of tea here. A quiet green-woody fougère that disappears fairly quickly, with violet leaf and osmanthus noticeable in the base. Cardamom is barely discernible
