Description of the composition

The olfactory structure of holynose-pepel is built as an expressive line of development, where accents shift without rush and without gaps. The creative approach of Holynose is recognizable in details that define the fragrance identity. Every decision feels deliberate, and the structure feels complete all the way through. Eau de parfum emphasizes the right density and pace of development.

From the group perspective the profile is anchored in Spicy, Drinks, Wood and Animals. From a family perspective the fragrance belongs to Spicy and Wood.

Right at the start you detect spicy sparkling top notes: Black Pepper and Coriander. These 2 notes build warm spicy pulse that is impossible to miss.

In the middle phase you notice Pu-erh and Tobacco carrying a liqueur-warm direction. In the final layer the structure settles through Grey Ambergris and Woody Accord, extending a deep animalic trail.

The accord architecture is built around these accords: Wood, Amber and Spicy with each one in a clear role. The profile is unisex, which clarifies the composition character.

In summary holynose-pepel sounds complete from start to finish — the first stage creates momentum, the central phase adds depth, while the drydown anchors the memory. These are the scent structures best judged in wear.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

Complexity and depth

The fragrance is warm and balsamic, with notes of frankincense and even cherry, which is a pleasant surprise. It's just perfect for cool spring weather! However, in the base, I caught a similarity to Amouage Royal Tobacco, and, honestly, that's not entirely pleasing. The longevity, unfortunately, leaves much to be desired - only 4 hours, and that's being generous. But overall, the fragrance is really interesting and worth trying! ))))

This fragrance from the entire brand collection is simply awful, so sharp that even after washing, clothes still smell of it. In winter, it doesn't warm you up, but rather presses on your psyche, creating a feeling that there's only ash around you, which doesn't disappear but stays with you forever 😒
