In 2006, Hugo Boss introduced Boss Selection — a fragrance that's hard to forget. A masculine fragrance rooted in the fern family. The fragrance was crafted by perfumer Lutz Herrmann. Concentration — eau de toilette: exactly what it needs to be.

One application and it's not going anywhere — longevity is very high. Made in Germany. A rich, layered composition that reveals itself differently depending on your mood and the time of day.

Description of the composition

The note pyramid of Boss Selection is shaped as a continuous scent journey, where notes flow without rush and without gaps. The creative approach of Hugo Boss is recognizable in details that define the fragrance identity. No excess details, only what works, and the structure feels complete all the way through. Eau de toilette supports the right density and pace of development.

As soon as the fragrance opens you sense invigorating sunny first notes: Bergamot, Grapefruit, Mandarin and Pink pepper.

When the opening settles you meet Cedar Needles, Geranium and Star anise holding a velvety sandalwood direction.

The internal accord map is driven by these accords: Balsamic, Citrus, Floral and Musc with each one in a clear role. Background accords such as Wood and Spicy enrich the profile without taking over. The profile is masculine, which makes the scent profile easier to read.

At the note-group layer the structure relies on Citrus, Spicy, Wood and Floral. The palette also extends to Musk.

In summary Boss Selection sounds complete from start to finish — the first stage creates momentum, the heart develops the core line, and the final phase leaves a stable imprint. This is the type of composition best understood on skin.
