Description of the composition

The composition of Poudre d`Iris is built as a living composition, where notes flow without rush and without gaps. The signature of Il Profumiere comes through from the opening to the final trail. Nothing here feels random, and the fragrance holds its character from opening to trail.

Without strict stage separation the notes arrive together with a voluminous floral mood: Ambergris, Heliotrope, Iris, Lemon, Lily of the Valley, Orange blossom and Powdery notes. In this case 7 notes act as one integrated frame, forming an elegant floral wave that feels seamless.

The inner phases are read as a smooth transition from opening to trail, which preserves the scent identity through drydown.

The olfactory framework is shaped by these accords: Citrus, Gourmet, Floral and Musc forming a compact and readable structure. Background accords such as Powdery, Amber and Spicy add depth to the backdrop.

From the group perspective the profile is anchored in Ambery, Floral, Citrus and Whiteflower. The palette also extends to Powdery, Spicy, Gourmet and Musk.

Taken together Poudre d`Iris holds a coherent structure — the opening sets direction, the middle layer carries the identity, while the drydown anchors the memory. This is the type of composition best experienced in wear.
