Quality control in perfumery: how fragrances are tested
We are used to thinking of perfume as pure art: the perfumer's inspiration, a beautiful story, a bot...
The house of Kajal gifted the world with Sareef in 2017. By character, a masculine fragrance drawing from the east and floral families. The fragrance was crafted by perfumers Ibrahim Faris, Mohammad Khalaf, and Christian Maurice Carbonnel. The fragrance belongs to the spicy, leather, and ambery groups. The palette of this fragrance is exceptionally rich: traces of wood, musk, gourmet, and citrus can also be found — a rare combination that makes this perfume truly one of a kind. Created within the Fiddah collection and available in eau de parfum.
The sillage is noticeable — present, but never overpowering. A single bottle goes a long way: longevity is very high. Country of origin — France. A rich, layered composition that reveals itself differently depending on your mood and the time of day.
The fragrance is very long-lasting, staying on the skin for 12 hours or more, gradually revealing its notes
The scent is clearly present near you, but it does not fill the entire space
The perfume has a rich aroma that will help you stand out from the crowd and create a memorable image
A rich and elegant fragrance that gently unfolds on the skin and lasts most of the day, leaving a delicate trail
Perfumes for the fall and winter seasons often contain notes of vanilla, spices, ambergris, wood, and other warm accords, creating a feeling of comfort and warmth during the cold months
The olfactory structure of Sareef is shaped as a continuous scent journey, where accents shift smoothly and sequentially. The style of Kajal is evident from the opening to the final trail. Every decision feels deliberate, and the composition keeps a clear direction. Eau de parfum sets the depth and body this composition needs.
From the group perspective the structure relies on Ambery, Citrus, Gourmet and Leather. It also reaches into Musk, Spicy, Wood and Floral.
As soon as the fragrance opens you catch sparkling citrus opening notes: Bergamot, Juniper and Lemon.
In the middle phase you notice Cashmeran, Cedar, Leather accord and Nutmeg holding a leathery musky direction.
The olfactory framework is built around these accords: Citrus, Musc, Wood and Amber forming a compact and readable structure. Background accords such as Leather and Spicy expand the olfactory volume in the background. The gender direction is masculine, which clarifies the composition character. In wear duration Very high suggests confident staying power.
Taken together Sareef sounds complete from start to finish — the opening sets direction, the central phase adds depth, while the drydown anchors the memory. These are the fragrances best experienced on skin.
