A Stroll Through a Kyoto Garden: Kusado L'Eau de Kyoto

Imagine a morning in ancient Kyoto: a damp mist rises over the gardens, citrus trees sparkle in the sunlight, and the air is filled with greenery and flowers.

It is this very atmosphere that L'Eau de Kyoto embodies—a women's fragrance launched in 1997.

This perfume from a Parisian brand with a Japanese soul is a true homage to Eastern aesthetics, reimagined through the lens of French chic.

The Kusado brand is more than just a perfume house—it is a bridge between cultures.

Born in Paris yet inspired by Japanese perfumer Midori Ito, it has captivated niche fragrance connoisseurs since its very first releases.

L'Eau de Kyoto is an eau de parfum belonging to the citrus and fougère families.

Its creators managed to capture the magic of Japanese nature in a miniature bottle—transparent and pure, yet multifaceted.

A Bridge Between Heaven and Earth

The fragrance is built on contrasts: the refreshing tang of citrus gives way to a soft floral heart, while warm woody-musky notes bring everything together.

This transition evokes a walk from a lively street to a serene temple.

It is worth noting that L'Eau de Kyoto has a subtle sillage, making it an ideal choice for those who prefer intimate, understated fragrances that stay close to the skin.

The perfume is designed for everyday wear, yet its refined structure also allows it to be worn in the evening—just add a couple of touches to the wrists.

A light veil of citrus and greenery in the morning evolves into a more sensual, yet never heavy, drydown by evening.

Your Perfect Companion

This eau de parfum for women suits every season, but it is especially lovely in warm weather: it unfolds particularly naturally in spring and summer.

Similar accords can be found in Issey Miyake A Scent by Issey Miyake Eau de Parfum Florale, Nina Ricci Love in Paris Christmas Edition, and Dior Midnight Charm.

If you are looking for something delicate yet full of character, this Japanese minimalism is sure to captivate you.

The persistence of a fragrance is determined by how long it can be felt. It is a characteristic associated with ingredients that evaporate slowly. Persistence depends on the physical properties of the perfume ingredients—mainly their volatility and environmental factors such as temperature and humidity.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

Complexity and depth
The complexity of a fragrance is the number and variety of notes that create a unique composition. A complex fragrance contains many different notes that reveal themselves on the skin. This fragrance from Japan, from the first note to the last, is simply amazing! It's subtle, but it has its bright accents. I feel how lemon, plum, and bergamot create a pleasant tartness. This is truly a spring scent that inspires and fills you with positivity. During my pregnancy, I happily used it; it became a true harmony and support for me 🌸
