Hot Play joined the Lacoste portfolio in 2007. A masculine fragrance belonging to the fern and wood families. Inspiration and execution — all of it is Thierry Wasser. By character, it falls into the citrus, musk, and spicy groups. The palette of this fragrance is exceptionally rich: traces of wood can also be found — a rare combination that makes this perfume truly one of a kind. An eau de toilette — light-footed, but utterly unforgettable.

The composition of Hot Play unfolds as a cohesive olfactory arc, where notes flow smoothly and sequentially. The creative approach of Lacoste comes through in details that define the fragrance identity. Nothing here feels random, and the fragrance holds its character from opening to trail. Eau de toilette keeps the right density and pace of development.

From the group perspective the structure relies on Citrus, Musk, Spicy and Wood. It also reaches into Floral and Green. Within olfactory families the fragrance belongs to Fern and Wood.

Right at the start you meet piquant warm opening notes: Black Pepper, Nutmeg and Yuzu.

When the opening settles you detect Freesia, Ivy and Papyrus carrying a aromatic green direction.

Lacoste perfumes for men, in my opinion, are clearly aimed at young people. These fragrances are not suitable for mature and serious men. And in this case, yuzu sounds too playful and childlike )

The fragrance is simply unbearable, not summery at all, but rather heavy. Citrus, pepper, and nutmeg - that's beautiful, of course, but on a man, it feels somewhat intrusive. I don't know who might like this, but it's not for me 😒

For some reason, I like the men's fragrances from this brand more than the women's. They seem more harmonious, and for young guys, it's simply a find. This perfume attracted me with its unusual combination of nutmeg and yuzu. I used to say that yuzu isn't a very expressive citrus for me, but here, it seems, nutmeg gives this fruit brightness and juiciness. In the end, for me, the whole concept of the fragrance revolves around a spicy-citrus note, where yuzu and nutmeg play the main roles. For summer, it's a bit too intense, but early autumn - that's exactly its time
