The scent of La Mer is shaped as an expressive line of development, where accents shift smoothly and sequentially. The signature of L'Eau de Cassis comes through from the opening to the final trail. Nothing here feels random, and the composition keeps a clear direction. Eau de parfum supports the right density and pace of development.

At the note-group layer the profile is anchored in Ambery, Aquatic and Wood. At family level the composition sits in Fern and Water.

When the pyramid is blended into one block the notes arrive together with a voluminous amber mood: Ambergris and Marine accord. Here 2 notes sound as one coherent layer, building amber depth that feels seamless.

The deeper layers are felt as a smooth transition from opening to trail, which preserves the scent identity through drydown.
