Description of the composition

The composition of MCMLXV 1965 is shaped as a living composition, where accents shift smoothly and sequentially. The style of L'Eau de Cassis is recognizable from the opening to the final trail. No excess details, only what works, and the structure feels complete all the way through. Eau de parfum sets the right density and pace of development.

The olfactory framework rests on these accords: Citrus, Gourmet, Floral and Fruit forming a compact and readable structure. Secondary accord layers such as Musc, Wood, Powdery and Amber expand the olfactory volume in the background.

When the structure is mixed the opening appears as one connected movement with a soft-dry woody mood: Ambergris, Amyris, Bergamot, Cardamom, Cedar, Guaiac wood and Iris.

The inner phases are read as a smooth transition from opening to trail, which preserves the scent identity through drydown.
