Fragrance information:

L'Orchidee joined the Leonard portfolio in 2006. A feminine fragrance belonging to the east and floral families. Olivier Pescheux — the creative mind behind this fragrance. The fragrance belongs to the floral, gourmet, and whiteflower groups. The fragrance is presented as eau de toilette.

It has a delicate sillage, staying close and personal. Recommended dosage: 1-2 sprays on skin, 2-3 sprays on clothing. Longevity is on the low side — a good excuse to refresh it throughout the day. Produced in France, and you can feel it in every note. A rich, layered composition that reveals itself differently depending on your mood and the time of day.

Perfume information

Description of the composition

The composition of L'Orchidee evolves as a layered story, where layers reveal themselves with precision and warmth. The style of Leonard is clear in details that define the fragrance identity. Every decision feels deliberate, and the composition keeps a clear direction. Eau de toilette emphasizes a balanced rhythm of unfolding.

The internal accord map is built around these accords: Citrus, Floral, Fruit and Spicy with each one in a clear role. The profile is feminine, which clarifies the composition character. In wear duration Low suggests confident staying power. In projection Weak shows the style of diffusion around the wearer.

As soon as the fragrance opens you catch juicy fruity opening notes: Bergamot, Blackcurrant and Peach.

When the opening settles you notice Jasmine, Orchid and Tuberose holding a silky white floral direction.

At olfactory-group level the composition is built around Floral, Gourmet, Whiteflower and Citrus. It also reaches into Fruit. Within olfactory families the fragrance belongs to East and Floral.

Overall L'Orchidee sounds complete from start to finish — the start forms character, the middle layer carries the identity, and the final phase leaves a stable imprint. These are the fragrances best judged in wear.

Persistence
The persistence of a fragrance is determined by how long it can be felt. It is a characteristic associated with ingredients that evaporate slowly. Persistence depends on the physical properties of the perfume ingredients—mainly their volatility and environmental factors such as temperature and humidity.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

Complexity and depth

A fragrance with notes of vanilla woods like sandalwood and cedar, complemented by light sweet florals. It's really pleasant, but I can't say it's anything outstanding, it lacks orchid here. On the bright side, you can find it for a very affordable price, which is great! 🌸

Orchid is that very scent that I still have, and I only sniff it because it's such a shame to use it up. Its beauty is simply indescribable. A sweet, slightly rough, dry smell. They say that's how an orchid smells, but my flowers on the windowsill don't emit anything like it at all. It's something fantastic, but so skillfully made that I can call it a true masterpiece )

Always amazed at how such perfume masterpieces are created! It's surprising that simple ingredients can result in such a vibrant and voluminous orchid. Nothing superfluous, just pure delight! It's simply magnificent!

The fragrance definitely left a pleasant impression. Usually, orchid goes with vanilla, but here it's different. Woody notes of cedar and sandalwood clearly dominate, while vanilla, on the contrary, is so delicate and almost imperceptible, as if it's slipping away 😔
