Fragrance information:

Lily Lambert is a name that evokes a promise of mystery and artistry.

Founded in 2007 by an American perfumer, artist, and jeweler, this niche brand brings together several creative worlds.

Goddess Sedna, released in 2009, became one of the most striking expressions of this philosophy.

Named after the Inuit goddess of the sea, it invites us on a journey to icy waters and blooming shores.

The Creator of the Fragrance

The composition was created by the brand’s founder herself, Lily Lambert. Her multifaceted talent made it possible to combine the freshness of greenery, the sweetness of berries, and the depth of a floral heart in a single bottle.

This women’s fragrance (for women) belongs to the Floral and Green fragrance families, making it an ideal choice for those who appreciate natural beauty and harmony.

Character and Sillage

Goddess Sedna is a fragrance with a very strong sillage. It makes a confident yet non-aggressive statement, leaving behind a velvety trail woven from sweet and powdery nuances.

It is the perfect companion for spring and summer, lifting the mood and creating a feeling of freshness.

Thanks to its multifaceted character, this perfume is suitable for both everyday wear and special occasions, when you want to feel like a goddess.

What It Pairs Well With

If you have fallen in love with this fragrance, take a look at similar compositions: Yves Rocher Pur Desir de Mimosa, Lancôme Connexion, and Essential Garden Passion Flower.

They share the same softness and natural elegance as Goddess Sedna. The brand’s official website, isabel-derroisne.com, will help you immerse yourself more deeply in Lily Lambert’s world.

Description of the composition

The top notes—juicy blackcurrant, its tart leaf, and sweet blackberry—create a bright, slightly tangy opening.

At the heart, a bouquet of magnolia, rose, hibiscus, and delicate heliotrope unfolds. Like warm sea sand, the base is composed of patchouli, vanilla, and sensual musk.

Persistence
The persistence of a fragrance is determined by how long it can be felt. It is a characteristic associated with ingredients that evaporate slowly. Persistence depends on the physical properties of the perfume ingredients—mainly their volatility and environmental factors such as temperature and humidity.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

Complexity and depth
The complexity of a fragrance is the number and variety of notes that create a unique composition. A complex fragrance contains many different notes that reveal themselves on the skin. The depth of a fragrance is the richness and intensity of the fragrance. Fragrances with a deep composition include heavy and powerful notes that stay on the skin longer and affect others over long distances.

The smell reminds me of something from childhood, when, as a little girl, I used to hide from bitter medicines. Mom always found a way to make them more pleasant by adding a little sugar. This fragrance is a mix of herbal infusions with a sweetness that evokes nostalgia. But, alas, it doesn't bring joy, but rather sadness, like a memory of something that can no longer be brought back
