Description of the composition

The fragrance pyramid of Amethyst begins with a bright explosion of fruit notes: black currant, blueberry, boysenberry, strawberry and blackberry create a juicy and playful start.

In the heart of the composition, floral and spicy facets unfold: black pepper, peony, rose and ylang-ylang add depth and warmth.

In the base, the fragrance gains a cozy completeness thanks to vanilla, woody notes and musk, leaving a tender and lasting impression.

The persistence of a fragrance is determined by how long it can be felt. It is a characteristic associated with ingredients that evaporate slowly. Persistence depends on the physical properties of the perfume ingredients—mainly their volatility and environmental factors such as temperature and humidity.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

Berry nonsense! These tart berries with green and woody notes are just annoying. The fragrance looks beautiful, but it's actually too intrusive for the office 😤

The fragrance I detected reminds me of woody notes with a berry accent and musk. The longevity is simply impressive. Many say it's similar to Jeanne Couture by Lanvin, and yes, there's something in common, but it's not quite the same thing

From the first moment I smelled it, I fell in love. This scent is simply a find! I feel confident and attractive with it. It settles on the skin so softly, like light silk, without being intrusive or heavy. On the contrary, it's like a gentle touch, sweetish and delicate, like an airy veil. Simply super! )))

In my bottle, I only smell boysenberry balm and blueberry jam, but not the store-bought kind, rather what our parents made for us in childhood. The syrup turned out thick and very tasty. There's no blackcurrant or tartness felt at all. Overall, it's pleasant, but it would be great to add a few flowers

I have a bottle that I bought in France, and it's very different from those sold in Russian stores. The fragrances there are more acidic and with a lower concentration. In my bottle, there's no tartness at all, and no blackcurrant is felt. Floral notes aren't audible either, and the scent itself resembles a thick, warm syrup of dried berries, with a slight hint of blackberry. Ylang-ylang oil here sounds like plum, perhaps sandalwood helps to reveal it. October is the perfect time for this fragrance. It's really good, but for the price I paid, I could have found several true masterpieces 🍂

In the mid-2000s, Nathalie Lorson created fragrances for Lalique that became true classics. Amethyst is one of them, and it leaves behind a sense of loss. It's a dark, sweet composition, full of forest berries, where blackcurrant and blackberry create a multifaceted accord, sparkling like dark purple glitters.

In this fragrance, you can also catch raspberry, plum, and even mango - it all depends on how the balance is struck. But, alas, it's not just a blackcurrant scent. There's also a velvety rose here, slightly tipsy from the berry fragrance. A complex composition where woody-musky notes contrast with a floral aftertaste and berry juiciness.

And, by the way, no cats! Interestingly, Nathalie Lorson used a similar accord in Meliora by Parfums de Marly, but with a brighter green tint. This fragrance is also worth trying, although it might not be able to bring back the sense of loss that Amethyst evokes

Oh, how I adore these blackcurrant and blackberry notes! The bottle is simply magnificent and perfectly reflects what's inside. The scent reminds me of summer berry tea - it has both freshness and a slight tartness. I think it would particularly suit brunettes, but honestly, anyone can enjoy this beauty!

This fragrance is definitely not for everyone. It's a bit unusual, but it has its own charm. It's like it was made for those who think differently. Some might find it interesting, while others will be put off by its uniqueness. Personally, I like it: P

I bought this fragrance, and honestly, I don't get what's so special about it. Appealing? Nah, more like just ordinary. It smells fine in winter, but when it gets warmer, I'm not sure it'll unfold any differently. All this talk about depth and versatility - it's just words. I'll keep trying it, of course, but so far, I'm not impressed. Waiting for spring to figure out what to do with it. Overall, it's just so-so for now

Honestly, the fragrance isn't impressive. Berries, yes, but the feeling is somewhat heavy and oppressive. There's no warmth in it; rather, it weighs on the psyche. In bad weather, perhaps it could be used, but it brings no joy. Longevity, of course, is there, but that doesn't save it from the overall melancholy

The scent of berries, sweet and sour at the same time. For me, it's blue or purple, as if color has become a smell. Sometimes it smells very natural, sometimes bright, and sometimes it hides close to the skin. Sometimes, something alcoholic can be felt in its notes

Amethyst by Lalique is a perfume that leaves no one indifferent. It's bright, with a strong character, and won't tolerate being adjusted to suit you. You need to be on the same wavelength with it. If you like it and don't plan to change it, then it will definitely live up to your expectations. This fragrance always unfolds differently, and each time it's interesting and beautiful. Its scent depends on many factors: humidity, temperature, application spot, and even your mood. Overall, it's a really cool perfume, and there's nothing more to add

At first, I approached this fragrance several times, and honestly, I didn't like it at all. The bottle, of course, was beautiful, but the scent itself didn't grab me. Then I forgot about it. Almost a year later, after trying a ton of different perfumes, I accidentally stumbled upon it again and was absolutely thrilled! It's simply an incredible combination of blackcurrant, berries, and rose. What once seemed too complex and unclear suddenly sounded so bright and beautiful. Now I can't take my wrist away! I want this fragrance to always be with me, as if it fills me with inspiration and joy

I once didn't think I'd need all versions of this fragrance, but now I want them all. They really are different, although at first glance they might seem similar. The classic Amethyst is probably the most balanced of them. There's a certain caution in it, as if the creators were afraid to go beyond the limits. I'm not a fan of overly 'proper' fragrances, but over time this one became one of those that really stick with you 😔

It's kind of strange, but this fragrance gives me mixed feelings. The blackcurrant leaf, it's like it mesmerizes me, but I can't figure out if I actually like it. I wear it at home, for myself, but I haven't dared to show it outside yet. They say many people don't like it, and that's a bit unsettling 🤔
