Identity and Release History

Immerse yourself in the world of playful luxury with the fragrance Marc Jacobs Daisy Garland, which debuted in 2010.

This perfume became a vibrant addition to the iconic Daisy collection, reflecting the Marc Jacobs brand philosophy – bold individuality and light, floral aesthetics.

The name "Garland" hints at inspiration from floral decorations, creating an image of carefree youth and natural beauty.

Released under the auspices of Coty, the fragrance quickly gained popularity among perfume connoisseurs, becoming a symbol of spring mood and femininity.

Its release strengthened Daisy's position as one of the most recognizable lines in the world, offering a fresh take on classic floral motifs.

Positioning and Wearability

Marc Jacobs Daisy Garland is positioned as a women's fragrance, perfectly suited for modern girls who value lightness and elegance.

As an eau de toilette, it offers a delicate yet long-lasting formula with a moderate sillage that leaves behind a soft, memorable trail.

This fragrance belongs to floral families, making it a versatile choice for daily wear, especially during the spring-summer season.

Thanks to its airy texture, Daisy Garland is excellent for the office, dates, or outdoor walks, adding a touch of joy and freshness to any look.

It is recommended to apply it to clean skin for better development, avoiding excessive spraying to preserve its delicate character.

Authors and Influence

Behind the creation of this charming perfume is the legendary perfumer Alberto Morillas, known for his mastery in creating modern classics.

His approach to composition, combining natural and synthetic chords, gives Daisy Garland a unique depth and brightness.

The fragrance reflects the DNA of the Marc Jacobs brand, emphasizing playfulness and luxury, which have become its hallmark since its founding in 1984.

The influence of this release on the brand has been significant: it strengthened Daisy's reputation as a line capable of evolving, offering new interpretations of the floral theme.

This demonstrates how Marc Jacobs continues to innovate in perfumery while remaining true to its aesthetic vision.

Perfume information

Description of the composition

The Marc Jacobs Daisy Garland composition is a harmonious blend of eight key notes, creating a multifaceted floral bouquet.

In it, fresh citrus chords such as grapefruit intertwine with juicy fruit notes of strawberry, giving the fragrance a playful and refreshing initial phase.

The heart of the composition is filled with rich floral shades: gardenia and jasmine add luxurious depth, while violet provides a delicate, almost powdery accent.

In the fragrance base, cozy and warm notes of vanilla and musk create a soft, enveloping foundation that smoothly transitions into a woody finale thanks to chords of white wood.

This combination ensures a smooth development from a bright start to a gentle, long-lasting trail, perfectly balancing between freshness and warmth.

The persistence of a fragrance is determined by how long it can be felt. It is a characteristic associated with ingredients that evaporate slowly. Persistence depends on the physical properties of the perfume ingredients—mainly their volatility and environmental factors such as temperature and humidity.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

Complexity and depth
The complexity of a fragrance is the number and variety of notes that create a unique composition. A complex fragrance contains many different notes that reveal themselves on the skin. In this fragrance, I caught many floral notes and a light sweetness. The scents are truly beautiful, but unfortunately, the longevity leaves much to be desired 😕

Vanilla with powder again. I don't smell any green notes at all. Although, overall, the scent isn't bad

A fragrance that seems light and sweetish-powdery, but actually leaves a certain emptiness. It's delicate, but there's nothing memorable about it. Longevity, of course, is present, but there's no sillage, and that's disappointing. For any age and occasion, but does that make it special? Hardly

The fragrance is light, with powdery flowers pleasantly framed by citrus notes and fresh fruits. Musk and vanilla are felt in the base, adding depth. I liked it more than the classic Daisy. This perfume is definitely worth trying, it can open new facets of perception for you )

Too artificial a scent. The citruses here sound somewhat unnatural, and jasmine presses with its heaviness. Musk is too persistent, and vanilla seems dry and lifeless. The bottle, of course, is pretty, but the scent itself disappointed me

The violet, honestly, makes me doubt. At first, you can smell it, but then it's overshadowed by strawberry, which becomes more noticeable. And this bitterness, it's simply unbearable. The floral heart only intensifies this feeling, and in the base, vanilla is added too. It creates some kind of terrible contrast. I don't like it when a fragrance doesn't match the mood, it's just irritating 😤

Has anyone tried this fragrance yet? I'm curious what you think about it. How's the violet? Is it similar to the one in Daisy, or is it brighter and more intense? I'd be very grateful for your opinions! 🌸
