Quality control in perfumery: how fragrances are tested
We are used to thinking of perfume as pure art: the perfumer's inspiration, a beautiful story, a bot...
Koitere joined the Max Joacim portfolio in 2019. The nose behind this fragrance — Max Perttula.
Produced in Finland, where perfumery has long been elevated to an art form. Koitere Max Joacim unfolds gradually, effortlessly, and with great refinement — a perfect choice for day or evening.
The fragrance is very long-lasting, staying on the skin for 12 hours or more, gradually revealing its notes
The scent will linger in the air even after its wearer has left.
The perfume has a rich aroma that will help you stand out from the crowd and create a memorable image
A rich and elegant fragrance that gently unfolds on the skin and lasts most of the day, leaving a delicate trail
Fragrances for spring and summer unfold with light citrus notes, floral and fruity accords, filling the composition with freshness, airiness, and a feeling of carefree lightness on warm days
The note pyramid of Koitere evolves as a living composition, where notes flow smoothly and sequentially. The signature of Max Joacim is recognizable in the way notes appear and fade. Every decision feels deliberate, and the structure feels complete all the way through.
At olfactory-group level the composition is built around Green, Fruit, Mineral and Earthy / Mossy. The framework further includes Wood and Musk.
From the first breath you catch grassy-green opening note: Green Chord.
In the middle phase you meet Blueberry and Lingonberry carrying a tempting fruity direction. At drydown level the structure settles through Aquatic accord, Berries, Chanterelles, Moss, Woody Accord and musk, extending a soft compote-like trail.
The accord architecture is built around these accords: Aquatic, Fruit, Musc and Wood forming a compact and readable structure. Background accords such as Vegetable expand the olfactory volume in the background. The stylistic positioning is unisex, which makes the scent profile easier to read.
In summary Koitere sounds complete from start to finish — the first stage creates momentum, the central phase adds depth, while the drydown anchors the memory. These are the scent structures best experienced through real development.
