Description of the composition

The scent of Africa unfolds as a cohesive olfactory arc, where layers reveal themselves without rush and without gaps. The style of Mazzolari is recognizable in the way notes appear and fade. Every decision feels deliberate, and the structure feels complete all the way through. Eau de parfum supports the right density and pace of development.

From the group perspective the structure relies on Citrus, Spicy, Floral and Wood. The palette also extends to Ambery. Within olfactory families the composition sits in Citrus and Wood.

At the opening of the pyramid you sense invigorating sunny top notes: Bergamot, Cedrat and Coriander.

In the heart you detect Cyclamen, Geranium and Sandalwood holding a opulent floral direction. In the base the line is anchored through Ambergris, Patchouli and Sandalwood, shaping a warm vetiver trail.

The accord architecture is shaped by these accords: Citrus, Floral, Wood and Amber without random overlap. Secondary accord layers such as Spicy add depth to the backdrop. The profile is unisex, which clarifies the composition character.

In summary Africa sounds complete from start to finish — the opening sets direction, the heart develops the core line, while the drydown anchors the memory. These are the scent structures best experienced on skin.

Persistence
The persistence of a fragrance is determined by how long it can be felt. It is a characteristic associated with ingredients that evaporate slowly. Persistence depends on the physical properties of the perfume ingredients—mainly their volatility and environmental factors such as temperature and humidity.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

Complexity and depth
The complexity of a fragrance is the number and variety of notes that create a unique composition. A complex fragrance contains many different notes that reveal themselves on the skin. The depth of a fragrance is the richness and intensity of the fragrance. Fragrances with a deep composition include heavy and powerful notes that stay on the skin longer and affect others over long distances.

The name of a perfume always catches my attention. Africa, ideally, should be hot and dry, but Sicily is something else entirely: green notes, citrus, and coriander. The fragrance is truly impressive, the citrus accents here sound wonderful. Although it might seem a bit masculine, if you like it, why not wear it? All in all, INSPIRATION
