Description of the composition

The note pyramid of L'eau de Ryokuei evolves as an expressive line of development, where accents shift smoothly and sequentially. The creative approach of Menard is evident in the pacing of the notes and the overall aesthetic. No excess details, only what works, and the composition keeps a clear direction.

The accord profile is driven by these accords: Floral forming a compact and readable structure. The gender direction is unisex, which clarifies the composition character. For persistence Very high points to a sustained drydown presence. In trail behavior Middle defines the projection profile in space.

When the pyramid is blended into one block the opening appears as one connected movement with a natural green mood: Green Chord and Osmanthus.

The inner phases are read as a gradual shift without abrupt breaks, which keeps the fragrance coherent.

At olfactory-group level the structure relies on Green, Floral, Whiteflower and Aquatic. At family level the scent maps to Floral and Water.

Overall L'eau de Ryokuei reads as a cohesive composition — the start forms character, the middle layer carries the identity, and the base secures the trail. This is the type of composition best experienced through real development.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

The complexity of a fragrance is the number and variety of notes that create a unique composition. A complex fragrance contains many different notes that reveal themselves on the skin. The depth of a fragrance is the richness and intensity of the fragrance. Fragrances with a deep composition include heavy and powerful notes that stay on the skin longer and affect others over long distances.

This fragrance, which I loved so much in the summer, now only brings bitterness. It seems clean, but in reality, it's just an illusion. First, you smell freshly cut grass, but then it seems to dissolve into the air, leaving only a faint hint of flowers that can't lift your spirits. Sillage? There isn't any, nor is there a feeling of freshness. All day with it, and you feel like you haven't showered. Awful 😔
