The note pyramid of Cologne 1888 evolves as a continuous scent journey, where accents shift without rush and without gaps. The creative approach of Miller Harris is recognizable from the opening to the final trail. No excess details, only what works, and the composition keeps a clear direction. Eau de parfum sets the right density and pace of development.

The accord architecture is driven by these accords: Aromatic, Citrus, Musc and Spicy without random overlap. The stylistic positioning is unisex, which makes the scent profile easier to read.

A fragrance that combines musk and citrus, with light notes of greenery and spices, makes me nostalgic. Definitely summery, but it feels like it's not quite what it used to be. The longevity leaves much to be desired, but maybe that's not even important. It's suitable for everyone, but the feeling that something's lost just won't go away 🌿
