Description of the composition

The olfactory structure of Bizarre Brandy evolves as a layered story, where accents shift with precision and warmth. The creative approach of Molton Brown is evident in the pacing of the notes and the overall aesthetic. Nothing here feels random, and the composition keeps a clear direction. Eau de toilette supports a balanced rhythm of unfolding.

In the first seconds you detect spicy sparkling opening notes: Cardamom, Ginger and Orange. These 3 notes set warm spicy pulse that is impossible to miss.

In the heart you notice Coffee, Cognac and maple syrup holding a velvety vanilla-coffee direction.

The accord profile rests on these accords: Balsamic, Citrus, Gourmet and Wood forming a compact and readable structure. Additional accords such as Spicy and Alcoholic expand the olfactory volume in the background.

From the group perspective the structure relies on Spicy, Citrus, Gourmet and Drinks. The palette also extends to Sweet, Wood, Balsamic and Fairy. At family level the fragrance belongs to Gourmet.

Taken together Bizarre Brandy holds a coherent structure — the start forms character, the middle layer carries the identity, and the final phase leaves a stable imprint. These are the scent structures best understood on skin.

Persistence
The persistence of a fragrance is determined by how long it can be felt. It is a characteristic associated with ingredients that evaporate slowly. Persistence depends on the physical properties of the perfume ingredients—mainly their volatility and environmental factors such as temperature and humidity.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

Complexity and depth
The complexity of a fragrance is the number and variety of notes that create a unique composition. A complex fragrance contains many different notes that reveal themselves on the skin. The depth of a fragrance is the richness and intensity of the fragrance. Fragrances with a deep composition include heavy and powerful notes that stay on the skin longer and affect others over long distances.

The coffee here hits you straight in the face, that's the first thing you smell. Then some citrus notes emerge, but with them comes bitterness too, as if you drank something wrong. The scent is clearly masculine, far too intrusive and strong, like someone spat in your face 😤

In this fragrance, I miss a more pronounced cognac note! The alcoholic component, apart from the alcohol itself, clearly doesn't reach the desired level. Plus, it smells quite mundane and reminds me of many other perfumes in this style. For example, you can find something similar from Dior, L'Artisan, or Annick Goutal!!!
