Description of the composition

The olfactory structure of Coûteux is built as a layered story, where accents shift without rush and without gaps. The style of MPF is clear in the pacing of the notes and the overall aesthetic. Nothing here feels random, and the composition keeps a clear direction.

The accord architecture is built around these accords: Citrus, Floral, Fruit and Musc without random overlap. Background accords such as Wood, Amber and Spicy expand the olfactory volume in the background. The gender direction is unisex, which sharpens how the fragrance is perceived.

In the top tier you sense vibrant berry top notes: Apple, Bergamot, Blackcurrant and Pineapple.

In the middle phase you sense Birch, Jasmine, Patchouli and Rose keeping a velvety sandalwood direction. At the foundation the structure settles through Grey Ambergris, Oak moss, Vanilla and musk, reinforcing a deep animalic trail.

At olfactory-group level the profile is anchored in Fruit, Citrus, Wood and Whiteflower. The palette also extends to Floral, Animals, Earthy / Mossy and Gourmet.

Taken together Coûteux sounds complete from start to finish — the opening sets direction, the heart develops the core line, and the base secures the trail. These are the fragrances best experienced on skin.
