Identity and History of Nina Ricci Nina L'Eau

Imagine a gentle breeze of spring air, filled with juicy fruits and delicate flowers – this is exactly how Nina Ricci Nina L'Eau, released in 2013, presents itself.

This eau de toilette is part of the iconic Nina collection, embodying the poetic femininity of the brand Nina Ricci, a legend of Parisian elegance.

Since its release, it has become a favorite among those seeking a fresh and playful fragrance, perfectly suited for everyday wear and warm days.

As part of the Nina collection, Nina L'Eau continues the tradition of fruity-floral compositions but brings an aquatic lightness, making it a modern and refreshing choice.

Its release in 2013 strengthened the brand's position in the market of youthful and joyful fragrances, offering an alternative to denser originals.

Positioning and How to Wear Nina L'Eau

Women's fragrance Nina Ricci Nina L'Eau is created for active and romantic individuals who value lightness and naturalness.

With a barely perceptible trail, it is perfectly suited for the office, meetings with friends, or strolls during the spring-summer season, without overwhelming those around.

Thanks to its fresh fruity-floral base, it works excellently in warm weather, providing a sense of coolness and vitality.

Regarding dosage, there is no specific data on recommendations, but for eau de toilette, 2-3 sprays on the skin or clothing are usually enough to enjoy its nuances.

The fragrance opens quickly, so it's better to apply it to pulse points, such as wrists and neck, for maximum longevity throughout the day.

Its versatility makes it an excellent choice both for morning awakening and for a light evening mood.

Perfumer and Brand Heritage

Behind the creation of Nina Ricci Nina L'Eau is the master perfumer Olivier Cresp, known for his playful and modern compositions.

His talent for weaving fruity and floral chords into light structures is fully manifested here, adding sophistication and dynamism to the fragrance.

This reflects the DNA of the Nina Ricci brand, which since 1932 has been giving the world a sense of joy and romance, making each bottle a part of French chic.

The influence of Nina L'Eau on the brand lies in updating the Nina collection, attracting a new audience seeking modern interpretations of classic themes.

If you adore this fragrance, you might be interested in other releases: Nina Ricci Nina, the original of the collection, Nina Ricci Nina L'Elixir, a more intense version, and Nina Ricci Les Delices de Nina, a slightly sweet alternative.

Description of the composition

The note pyramid of Nina Ricci Nina L'Eau begins with a bright and juicy start: grapefruit and mandarin provide citrusy vitality, while apple adds a sweetish freshness, and neroli brings a light floral elegance.

In the heart of the fragrance, a delicate harmony unfolds: apple blossom and gardenia create floral depth, cherry adds fruity juiciness, and an aquatic accord (water accord) weaves in a cool, mineral note, reminiscent of pure spring water.

The base accord secures the composition with a warm and sensual musk, which gently envelops the skin, ensuring longevity and completeness.

This combination of notes from the fruit, mineral, and whiteflower groups makes the fragrance multifaceted, transitioning from a playful opening to a tender heart and a cozy base, perfectly fitting into the fruit and floral families.

Persistence
The persistence of a fragrance is determined by how long it can be felt. It is a characteristic associated with ingredients that evaporate slowly. Persistence depends on the physical properties of the perfume ingredients—mainly their volatility and environmental factors such as temperature and humidity.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

Complexity and depth
The complexity of a fragrance is the number and variety of notes that create a unique composition. A complex fragrance contains many different notes that reveal themselves on the skin. This is a fragrance that really refreshes! Light and invigorating, it doesn't give you a headache and doesn't cause discomfort. In winter, it perfectly highlights the cold air, creating a feeling of freshness. The apple scent reminds me of frost, and it's just great!!! I really like it, especially in the cold season. Yummy and pleasant!

Unfortunately, I just couldn't get along with this fragrance. It struck me as sharp and bland. Its longevity and sillage really leave a lot to be desired. It has absolutely nothing in common with the classic Nina. It has aquatic notes and cherry, which I'm not a fan of, and it looks like that's exactly why NINA and I didn't click!

This fragrance doesn't resemble the standard version at all. It's somehow too watery, seems like aquatic notes clearly dominate here. I don't like that kind of note. It's a shame it didn't work out with it 😕

This is truly the lightest and freshest of all the apples. The scent is airy, I really like it. Longevity is average, but that's not bad since it stays close to the skin. Unobtrusive and subtle, it won't bother anyone

I really don't like this apple, it lacks any punch, and the longevity is also a letdown 😒

What an amazing scent! Nina, with that aquatic note and fruity bitterness, just blows me away. It's truly the lightest in the whole collection, smelling so airy, it's bound to be loved by many

Something from the classic still remains, but that's a completely different story now. This version seems much lighter and more airy. Sweet fruits mix with aquatic notes and flowers. Overall, it's quite pleasant and fresh, but there's something that makes you wonder 🤔

It seems like this is a fragrance that reminds you of something gone. It's really lighter and softer than Red Apple, but there's a certain sadness to it. I don't get any cherry, and that's a bit disappointing. The longevity, by the way, is good, but there's still a feeling that something is missing

I don't get any sweet cherry here, personally. Maybe a hint of sour cherry peeks through, but I'm not sure. The scent, to be honest, is watery, not the worst, but nothing to write home about. I don't pick up any of those seemingly fermented fruits at all

The smell is just gorgeous. If you're into classics and want something similar but with a little twist, this is it. Perfect for anyone wanting to try something new but not too out there

Nina became less sweet, but at the same time gained freshness and a bit of tartness. This fragrance is great for summer days, but it's better not to wear it in intense heat. In moderate warmth, it just unfolds wonderfully 🌼

What a wonderful scent! It's so fresh and light, simply a floral paradise with notes of citrus and fruits. You can feel a pleasant aquatic touch, and the musk adds a special twist. A true delight! 🌸

What a load of crap, not a perfume! This sweet little 'juice' doesn't last at all, no sillage, it's like it was never even there. Honestly, if they took it off the shelves, nobody would even notice. It's weak, like water, and completely unmemorable

At first, this fragrance seemed soft and sweet to me, with a slight hint of cherry. But now I can't stand it, it's become too cloying and overwhelming 😩

In recent years, I've been getting the impression that the Nina Ricci perfume house is stuck in one place. All new fragrances resemble old ones, as if they're just copying the style of their first successful creation. The mood and character of the fragrances remain unchanged, as do the images of the women who inspire them. It seems like nothing fresh and original will appear anymore )
