Description of the composition

The note pyramid of Un Patchouli is built as a layered story, where layers reveal themselves without rush and without gaps. The creative approach of Obvious is evident in the way notes appear and fade. Nothing here feels random, and the composition keeps a clear direction. Eau de parfum supports the right density and pace of development.

At the opening of the pyramid you meet spicy sparkling top note: Tonka bean. This 1 note shapes warm spicy pulse that is impossible to miss.

In the central layer you notice Patchouli, Sandalwood and Virginian Cedar keeping a spicy-woody direction. In the final layer the composition is fixed through Juniper and Tolu balsam, reinforcing a deep woody trail.

The accord profile rests on these accords: Balsamic, Gourmet and Wood with each one in a clear role. The profile is unisex, which makes the scent profile easier to read.

At the note-group layer the structure relies on Spicy, Wood and Balsamic. Within olfactory families the scent maps to Balsamic and Wood.

Taken together Un Patchouli reads as a cohesive composition — the start forms character, the heart develops the core line, and the final phase leaves a stable imprint. This is the type of composition best judged on skin.
