Persistence
The persistence of a fragrance is determined by how long it can be felt. It is a characteristic associated with ingredients that evaporate slowly. Persistence depends on the physical properties of the perfume ingredients—mainly their volatility and environmental factors such as temperature and humidity.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

First you smell sage and something herbaceous, the violet is very subtle. Jasmine adds a floral accent, and sweetness is present but not too intrusive. The herbal component, in my opinion, is a bit much, and I'm not a big fan of birch. Essentially, the scent resembles papyrus, greenery, and spices. Longevity is moderate, there's a sillage, but it's only noticeable at arm's length 🌿

This fragrance is nothing like the old Flash Back. It's sweet-leathery, with spicy and earthy notes, and the watery accord of violets and papyrus only adds to its mystery. Santal 33 connoisseurs were clearly surprised. It opens smoky, with a light dusting of powder and ash, evoking sad memories of something gone forever 😔

This fragrance evokes memories of a coastline where flowers and herbs grow by the sea. The marine theme, unfortunately, doesn't fully unfold. Bright notes of sage stand out, and the unusual sound of papyrus adds interest. But, honestly, something is missing for it to be memorable long-term. Overall, it deserves attention, but it doesn't leave a deep impression

Sage is definitely in the foreground here, with leather and tonka beans following. This fragrance has something marine about it, and it seems that sage along with a light salty hint of leather create such an interesting combination. That's why it reminds me more of the Mediterranean atmosphere 🌊

I don't understand, why this New York here?! This is clearly something oriental, but birch is totally out of place here! I don't even smell it. There's plenty of saffron, of course, but it's not as powerful as Montale's. Leather with tonka beans, yes, but they don't really round out this whole mixture. So many spices and aromatics that jasmine and violet just get lost!!!
