Fragrance information:

The world first encountered Wasanbon by Parfum Satori in 2013. By character, a unisex fragrance drawing from the gourmet family. Perfumer Satori Osawa is the author behind this composition. An eau de parfum — light-footed, but utterly unforgettable.

Expect a moderate sillage — enough to be remembered, not enough to overwhelm. It stays on the skin for a good while — longevity is firmly in the moderate range. Made in Japan. Wasanbon Parfum Satori unfolds gradually, effortlessly, and with great refinement — a perfect choice for day or evening.

Perfume information

Description of the composition

The note pyramid of Wasanbon is shaped as a layered story, where accents shift without rush and without gaps. The signature of Parfum Satori is recognizable in the way notes appear and fade. No excess details, only what works, and the composition keeps a clear direction. Eau de parfum emphasizes the depth and body this composition needs.

At olfactory-group level the profile is anchored in Fruit, Citrus, Gourmet and Sweet. The palette also extends to Whiteflower, Floral, Wood and Drinks.

As soon as the fragrance opens you sense vibrant berry opening notes: Grape and Lemon.

In the middle phase you notice Almond, Honey, Lily of the Valley, Mimosa and Sugar carrying a velvety-sweet direction.

The internal accord map is driven by these accords: Citrus, Gourmet, Floral and Fruit forming a compact and readable structure. Additional accords such as Wood, Powdery and Spicy enrich the profile without taking over. The profile is unisex, which sharpens how the fragrance is perceived. For persistence Middle points to a sustained drydown presence.

Overall Wasanbon reads as a cohesive composition — the opening sets direction, the central phase adds depth, and the base secures the trail. These are the scent structures best understood in wear.

Persistence
The persistence of a fragrance is determined by how long it can be felt. It is a characteristic associated with ingredients that evaporate slowly. Persistence depends on the physical properties of the perfume ingredients—mainly their volatility and environmental factors such as temperature and humidity.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

Complexity and depth
The complexity of a fragrance is the number and variety of notes that create a unique composition. A complex fragrance contains many different notes that reveal themselves on the skin. The depth of a fragrance is the richness and intensity of the fragrance. Fragrances with a deep composition include heavy and powerful notes that stay on the skin longer and affect others over long distances.

The fragrance is simply amazing! First, you feel a lemon tartness and a bit of spice, and then notes of mimosa with iris unfold. It's both sweet and not, suitable for both day and evening. Very fresh, unusual, and playful, it just delights! I really liked it, I've never encountered anything like it before 😍 I think it's worth buying, as I only tested it on a blotter
