Description of the composition

The composition of Gris Charnel evolves as a cohesive olfactory arc, where notes flow smoothly and sequentially. The style of Parfums BDK Paris is clear in details that define the fragrance identity. Every decision feels deliberate, and the fragrance holds its character from opening to trail. Eau de parfum supports the depth and body this composition needs.

The internal accord map rests on these accords: Gourmet, Fruit, Wood and Powdery forming a compact and readable structure. Secondary accord layers such as Spicy add depth to the backdrop. The gender direction is unisex, which sharpens how the fragrance is perceived. In longevity terms High indicates a stable lasting impression.

As soon as the fragrance opens you meet piquant warm first notes: Cardamom, Fig and Tea.

In the heart you detect Iris and Vetiver holding a opulent floral direction.

From the group perspective the structure relies on Floral, Fruit, Green and Spicy. It also reaches into Wood and Aromatic. From a family perspective the composition sits in Aromatic and Wood.

Taken together Gris Charnel sounds complete from start to finish — the first stage creates momentum, the central phase adds depth, while the drydown anchors the memory. This is the type of composition best judged in wear.

Persistence
The persistence of a fragrance is determined by how long it can be felt. It is a characteristic associated with ingredients that evaporate slowly. Persistence depends on the physical properties of the perfume ingredients—mainly their volatility and environmental factors such as temperature and humidity.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

The fragrance is not bad, of course, but this creamy fig with violet and pistachios is just too much. Too sweet, not suitable for summer at all, maybe only for a cold spring. Otherwise, its place is winter and autumn, no other way 😒

The scent isn't bad, of course, but it's not worth praising it so much. It's something in between perfume and an air freshener. There's no luxury here, rather something commonplace. It's like putting on an old sweater that hasn't been washed in ages. Woody notes, yes, but they don't impress, they just annoy. Sensuality? Doubtful. Overall, I expected more and got nonsense

The fig here is simply awful. Sweet, yes, but with some strange milky-green notes that just ruin everything. This tropical sweetness with cream seems to try to overpower vetiver and spices, but it just turns into a mess. Musk, of course, is noticeable, but not in the amount I'd like. The fragrance, to be honest, is overloaded, and it doesn't evoke any delight. Feminine, yes, but too intrusive. I don't know who came up with this, but I don't like it
