Description of the composition

The scent of Sheer Velvet is built as a continuous scent journey, where layers reveal themselves smoothly and sequentially. The creative approach of Perfumers Guild comes through from the opening to the final trail. No excess details, only what works, and the structure feels complete all the way through.

Right at the start you sense fresh floral opening notes: Geranium and Rosewood. Exactly these 2 notes shape the effect of a living bouquet that gives the fragrance a clear opening statement.

When the opening settles you meet Iris and Rose carrying a harmonious floral direction.

The internal accord map is shaped by these accords: Floral, Musc, Wood and Powdery without random overlap. Background accords such as Spicy expand the olfactory volume in the background. The stylistic positioning is feminine, which sharpens how the fragrance is perceived.

At the note-group layer the composition is built around Floral, Wood, Gourmet and Musk. It also reaches into Whiteflower. At family level the scent maps to Floral.

In summary Sheer Velvet sounds complete from start to finish — the start forms character, the heart develops the core line, while the drydown anchors the memory. This is the type of composition best experienced in wear.
