Fragrance information:

PK Perfumes is an American niche brand founded by perfumer-alchemist Paul Kiler. His creations are always distinguished by their boldness and technical perfection.

Launched in 2012, Cafe Diem became a true olfactory manifesto: a unisex composition that breaks stereotypes and invites you on a journey through coffee and woody facets.

An Olfactory Journey

Imagine a cozy café in San Francisco, where the scents of freshly ground coffee, spices, and flowers mingle. This is precisely the atmosphere captured by Cafe Diem.

The fragrance belongs to the fougère and woody families, yet it is so multifaceted that it defies conventional categories.

It is a fragrance for those who are not afraid to experiment and appreciate complex, unconventional combinations.

Character and Sillage

One of Cafe Diem's key features is its very strong sillage. This fragrance is not shy: it makes a bold, confident statement, leaving behind a trail of spicy, subtly sweet, and smoky notes.

The eau de parfum concentration ensures all-day longevity, so one or two sprays are enough.

Ideal for cooler seasons, evening outings, and special occasions when you want to make an impression.

The Perfumer and His Vision

Paul Kiler is known for his technical approach and love of rare ingredients.

In Cafe Diem, he masterfully combines seemingly incompatible notes: bitter coffee, tart absinthe, sweet vanilla, and noble woody accents.

The result is daring yet elegant—a true rebel of a fragrance.

Who It Suits and How to Wear It

Cafe Diem is a unisex fragrance that unfolds differently on men's and women's skin.

It is versatile in terms of style, but shines best with looks that have character: a leather jacket, rugged boots, or, on the other hand, an evening dress.

This fragrance draws compliments—it is often noticed and asked about.

If you like Le Labo Bergamote 22, Siordia Parfums Geralt of Rivia, or Angela Flanders Aqua Alba, then Cafe Diem is definitely worth trying—it will make a bold addition to your collection.

Description of the composition

The fragrance pyramid of Cafe Diem is built on contrasts. The top notes—juicy blackcurrant, sweet lychee, tart mandarin, and velvety raspberry—create a bright, almost playful opening.

At the heart of the composition unfolds a luxurious bouquet of jasmine, patchouli, and sensual rose. The base is a warm, enveloping accord of orange blossom and vanilla.

Additional facets of coffee, absinthe, spices, and woods make the fragrance even deeper and more multifaceted.

The persistence of a fragrance is determined by how long it can be felt. It is a characteristic associated with ingredients that evaporate slowly. Persistence depends on the physical properties of the perfume ingredients—mainly their volatility and environmental factors such as temperature and humidity.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

Complexity and depth
The complexity of a fragrance is the number and variety of notes that create a unique composition. A complex fragrance contains many different notes that reveal themselves on the skin. The depth of a fragrance is the richness and intensity of the fragrance. Fragrances with a deep composition include heavy and powerful notes that stay on the skin longer and affect others over long distances.

This fragrance didn't impress me at all. It's clearly for those who like something unusual, and I'm sure there are plenty of them. It's more for true connoisseurs who are willing to take a long time to get used to the scent and build a relationship with it. But, honestly, I don't have the energy for that right now. I recommend trying it before buying, if you do decide to get it
