Description of the composition

The olfactory structure of Ergot is shaped as a continuous scent journey, where layers reveal themselves without rush and without gaps. The style of Possets Perfume is evident in the pacing of the notes and the overall aesthetic. Every decision feels deliberate, and the structure feels complete all the way through.

When the structure is mixed the opening appears as one connected movement with a cozy sugary mood: Confectionery Glaze, Red Wine and Wheat. In this format 3 notes work as one voice, creating a sweet enveloping resonance that keeps the opening compact and balanced.

The deeper layers are perceived as a smooth transition from opening to trail, which keeps the fragrance coherent.

The internal accord map is shaped by these accords: Gourmet and Alcoholic with each one in a clear role. The profile is unisex, which clarifies the composition character.

At the note-group layer the composition is built around Sweet, Drinks and Green.

Taken together Ergot sounds complete from start to finish — the first stage creates momentum, the middle layer carries the identity, while the drydown anchors the memory. These are the scent structures best understood on skin.
