History and Identity

Valour, a fragrance by the American brand Robert Graham, was launched in 2016. It is a men's Eau de Parfum belonging to the oriental and amber fragrance families.

The composition was created by legendary perfumer Harry Frémont.

Concept and Inspiration

Valour was part of the brand's debut "Blended Essences" collection, inspired by luxury spirits.

Each fragrance reflects the character of a particular drink; this one features bold notes of strong bitter coffee and single malt whisky.

The crystal decanter-shaped bottle is topped with a cap featuring an English bulldog wearing a lilac bow tie—a symbol of resilience and elegance.

Character and Sillage

Thanks to its very strong sillage (very strong), this fragrance makes a bold, confident statement. It is perfect for evening occasions when you want to leave an unforgettable impression.

Description of the composition

The slightly bitter astringency of coffee intertwines with the spicy greenery of sage, while warm amber adds depth and sensuality.

The persistence of a fragrance is determined by how long it can be felt. It is a characteristic associated with ingredients that evaporate slowly. Persistence depends on the physical properties of the perfume ingredients—mainly their volatility and environmental factors such as temperature and humidity.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

Very conspicuous

Complexity and depth
The complexity of a fragrance is the number and variety of notes that create a unique composition. A complex fragrance contains many different notes that reveal themselves on the skin. The depth of a fragrance is the richness and intensity of the fragrance. Fragrances with a deep composition include heavy and powerful notes that stay on the skin longer and affect others over long distances.

The bottle is really impressive, made of high-quality glass, and the bulldog cap adds an interesting accent. But the scent, in my opinion, reminds me more of niche perfumes and isn't as well-known as Bleu de Chanel. If you're just starting your journey with designer fragrances, you definitely have to try this one

The scent is just awful. It's not amber, but some soulless mixture that only causes disgust. No uniqueness, just a bunch of chemicals. It sounds like someone tried to make something niche, but it ended up being completely faceless. It doesn't attract, but rather repels. Compliments? Who would even want to praise something like this? It's tiring from the first second
