Roberto Cavalli Florence: the scent of Italian luxury

Released in 2017, the women's perfume Roberto Cavalli Florence embodies the unrestrained luxury and animal sensuality characteristic of the Italian house's DNA.

This fragrance is part of the eponymous Florence collection, offering a fresh take on floral elegance and continuing the brand's traditions, founded in 1972.

The creation of talented perfumer Marie Salamagne, Florence reflects her mastery in crafting complex and emotional compositions.

Salamagne, known for her work for leading global brands, brings a note of modernity and sophistication to this fragrance, reinforcing Roberto Cavalli's reputation as a source of sensual and memorable perfumes that speak the language of passion.

Who Florence is created for and how to wear it

As a women's fragrance, Florence is perfectly suited for confident girls and women aged 18 to 50 who value luxury, individuality, and adore discussing perfumery on social networks.

With a medium trail, it leaves a subtle but noticeable trace, emphasizing presence without intrusiveness, making it complimentary and recognizable in daily life.

In the form of eau de parfum, Florence has optimal longevity for everyday wear, gradually unfolding on the skin.

For maximum effect, it is recommended to enter the cloud of sprays on the skin so that the fragrance gently unfolds with body heat, and from 1 to 2 sprays on clothing for longer fixation, ensuring comfort throughout the day.

Belonging to the floral fragrance family, Florence combines classical elegance with modern accents, making it an ideal choice for spring and summer days, as well as for romantic encounters or office routines.

Its versatility allows it to easily adapt to different scenarios, giving inspiration and confidence.

If you liked Florence, pay attention to similar fragrances, such as Roberto Cavalli Florence Amber, Princesse Marina De Bourbon Dynastie Mademoiselle, and Roberto Cavalli Florence Blossom.

These options offer alternative shades within the floral theme, helping to expand your perfume collection and find new favorites.

Description of the composition

Composition: The Magic of Notes

The fragrance pyramid of Florence begins with sparkling top notes of black currant and mandarin, creating a juicy and refreshing start that instantly captures attention.

In the heart of the composition, grapefruit flower, hibiscus seeds, and orange blossom (fleur d'orange) unfold, adding floral tenderness, fruity depth, and elegant sweetness that smoothly transitions to the base.

The base is anchored with warm and sensual chords of amber, patchouli, and musk, ensuring longevity, completeness, and leaving behind a delicate, memorable trail.

This balance between the freshness of citrus from the citrus group, the elegance of floral notes from the floral and white flower groups, and the warmth of woody and musky chords from the woody and musky groups makes Florence a universal and multifaceted fragrance that reveals itself differently on the skin, offering a unique experience to each.

Persistence
The persistence of a fragrance is determined by how long it can be felt. It is a characteristic associated with ingredients that evaporate slowly. Persistence depends on the physical properties of the perfume ingredients—mainly their volatility and environmental factors such as temperature and humidity.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

Complexity and depth
The complexity of a fragrance is the number and variety of notes that create a unique composition. A complex fragrance contains many different notes that reveal themselves on the skin. This fragrance is a complete fail for me. I'll keep trying to understand what's so special about it. The bottle, of course, looks chic and is heavy, but that doesn't save it. The scent reminds me of blackcurrant jam, but with some nasty tartness and a sour aftertaste. Honestly, it reminded me of the smell of cheap wine that's just been opened. Overall, strange and not very pleasant 😒

The fragrance is truly unusual, sweetness and spiciness combine perfectly in it. The bottle is just something else! There's nothing even to discuss there. I mostly smell notes of blackcurrant jam and patchouli. I can't decide on a final opinion yet, I'll keep testing it 🌟

At first, the scent didn't impress me, but over time I started to like it a bit more. Maybe in five years I'll be able to wear it, or maybe not. In general, it's not for me: too sweet and intense, just overkill. I love blackcurrant, chypres, and orange blossom, but Florence just doesn't fit. I approach, sniff, admit: it looks beautiful, but it's not for me 😒

The perfume is interesting, but I didn't choose it for myself. Overall, it's not bad, but it feels too serious. Like I'm not myself when I wear it. The fruity-floral notes are really nice though, but I don't feel like it's my pick yet 🍃

Late winter and early spring in Siberia - that's exactly its period. At other times of the year, it's not as interesting for me. In fresh and humid air, it sounds simply amazing, lifts the mood, and brings joy 🌼

I came across an opinion in the comments that the scent resembles young wine. And it's true, I have those associations too

What an amazing scent! It's completely unlike those standard luxury perfumes that have flooded the market now. It has its own unique character and a special twist. This chypre composition is simply magnificent: longevity and sillage are top-notch. It's amazing how it stands out from the rest! )

The scent is really interesting. On me, it opens with notes of blackcurrant and patchouli. I feel a light amber, but overall it leans more towards the chypre side. Blackcurrant can be unpredictable, so it's best to test it on yourself

At first glance, the fragrance resembles the latest trends with caramel and patchouli, but it has something special that gives it depth. I think it's hibiscus, which seems to halt the bright notes of blackcurrant, mandarin, and floral accents, as if telling them: "Stop, we're not just for young girls, but also for more mature ladies. A candy scent isn't for us, we need exquisite flowers." This fragrance successfully combines gourmand notes with other elements, making it unique among many similar ones. It smells bright, chypre, and creates a festive atmosphere

The fragrance is already available for exclusive sale at Dubai Duty-Free, so if you're going on vacation, be sure to check it out. It's a really cool scent with a chypre character and a fairly rich honey-amber accord 🌟

Oh, what amazing patchouli! I just want to inhale them again and again. For me, this is one of the best modern chypres. These are truly some of the most luxurious patchouli in perfumery - soft, delicate, yet bright, but in a good way. The fragrance lasts long on me and leaves a trail. Yes, it's a bit heavy, but here's the paradox: it unfolds even better in summer than in winter. It doesn't oppress, doesn't irritate. Although, essentially, it's a scent for any season - that's how magnificent it is. The bottle is also a true work of art. It immediately brings to mind the stained glass windows of Florence cathedrals. The scents of Italy are clearly felt in this perfume. It's impossible to describe in words, you just have to feel it! By the way, as always, I bought it untested because of the bottle and was very satisfied! )

Today I visited a perfume store and decided to try the scent on my hand. Although memories didn't flood over me, a feeling of something close and familiar still emerged. My soul felt warm and pleasant. Now I definitely know this perfume is worth buying!

What a luxurious and multifaceted scent! It simply captivates with its brightness and femininity. You can feel ripe blackcurrant berries in it, as well as notes of orange blossom, patchouli, and amber. This is a real find for lovers of interesting fragrances! 🌟
