Description of the composition

The composition of Carus is built as a cohesive olfactory arc, where accents shift smoothly and sequentially. The creative approach of Roux Saint James is recognizable in the way notes appear and fade. No excess details, only what works, and the structure feels complete all the way through.

The accord profile is built around these accords: Gourmet, Wood and Leather with each one in a clear role. The gender direction is unisex, which clarifies the composition character.

When the structure is mixed the fragrance opens as a single chord with a suede-woody mood: Leather accord, Tea, Tonka bean and Woody Accord. Here 4 notes work as one voice, creating the effect of expensive suede that keeps the opening compact and balanced.

The deeper layers are perceived as a smooth transition from opening to trail, which gives the structure continuity.
