Description of the composition

The note pyramid of Bad is built as a layered story, where notes flow smoothly and sequentially. The signature of Rue21 is recognizable in the pacing of the notes and the overall aesthetic. No excess details, only what works, and the structure feels complete all the way through. Eau de toilette emphasizes the right density and pace of development.

At the note-group layer the composition is built around Aquatic, Citrus, Ambery and Spicy. From a family perspective the scent maps to Citrus.

As soon as the fragrance opens you catch aquatic cool opening note: Marine accord. This single 1 note shapes sensation of a sea breeze that is impossible to miss.

In the central layer you sense Grapefruit and Mandarin carrying a refreshing green direction. At drydown level the structure settles through Ambergris and Tonka bean, extending a dense amber trail.

The accord architecture rests on these accords: Citrus, Gourmet, Amber and Marine with each one in a clear role. The gender direction is masculine, which makes the scent profile easier to read.

Taken together Bad holds a coherent structure — the first stage creates momentum, the heart develops the core line, while the drydown anchors the memory. These are the fragrances best judged in wear.
