2015: the world took its first breath of Zazou Sabe Masson. By character, a feminine fragrance drawing from the floral and citrus families. The fragrance was crafted by perfumer Delphine Lebeau-Krowiak. Created as part of the Solid Soft Perfumes collection. In solid perfume — and that's all it takes to fall in love.

Description of the composition

The composition of Zazou unfolds as a continuous scent journey, where accents shift without rush and without gaps. The creative approach of Sabe Masson is clear from the opening to the final trail. Nothing here feels random, and the structure feels complete all the way through. Solid perfume supports a balanced rhythm of unfolding.

At olfactory-group level the structure relies on Citrus, Wood, Spicy and Floral. The palette also extends to Whiteflower, Ambery and Musk. At family level the composition sits in Citrus and Floral.

As soon as the fragrance opens you detect sparkling citrus top notes: Cedrat, Grapefruit and Lemon.

At the core of development you detect Cypress, Ginger, Neroli and Orange blossom keeping a velvety sandalwood direction.

The accord profile is driven by these accords: Citrus, Floral, Musc and Wood without random overlap. Additional accords such as Amber add depth to the backdrop. The profile is feminine, which makes the scent profile easier to read.

Taken together Zazou holds a coherent structure — the first stage creates momentum, the central phase adds depth, and the final phase leaves a stable imprint. These are the scent structures best experienced in wear.

The citruses here are so bright, almost screaming, with notes of neroli and amber. There's something refreshing about it, even reminiscent of cologne. It sounds quite interesting, but I can't tell if I actually like it. For summer, it might be perfect 🌞
