The scent of The True Patchouli evolves as a cohesive olfactory arc, where accents shift without rush and without gaps. The style of Sabon comes through from the opening to the final trail. Nothing here feels random, and the fragrance holds its character from opening to trail. Eau de toilette keeps a balanced rhythm of unfolding.

When the structure is mixed the notes arrive together with a noble cedar mood: Patchouli, Sandalwood and Vanilla. In this format 3 notes act as one voice, building clear woody framework that feels seamless.

The deeper layers are perceived as a continuous motion from lift to depth, which gives the structure continuity.

The accord architecture is built around these accords: Wood and Spicy forming a compact and readable structure. The stylistic positioning is unisex, which makes the scent profile easier to read.

The patchouli here is somewhat rough, and vanilla only slightly softens it. The scent, though with character, still leaves a feeling of heaviness, as if pressing down on your shoulders. In cold weather, perhaps it will open up, but right now it seems too oppressive 😔
