Dalistyle: a surreal fragrance by Salvador Dali

In the world of perfumery, where art meets emotion, Salvador Dali presents from 2002 — the feminine fragrance Dalistyle in the concentration of eau de toilette.

This release embodies the spirit of surrealism, transferring it from canvas to skin, and is perfect for those seeking more than just a scent — a true work of art.

The creative genius of Evelyne Boulanger

Behind the creation of Dalistyle is the talented perfumer Evelyne Boulanger, who masterfully combined elements of surrealism in the perfume composition.

Her work brings lightness and depth to the fragrance, characteristic of the Salvador Dali brand, where each note plays the role of a brushstroke on an invisible canvas.

This fragrance not only reflects the brand's DNA but also strengthens its reputation as an innovator in the world of perfumery, offering unique sensory experiences.

Positioning and wearability

Dalistyle is positioned as a feminine fragrance with a medium trail, making it a versatile choice for everyday use.

In the format of eau de toilette, it offers freshness and moderate longevity, ideal for spring and summer days, as well as for office meetings or romantic dates.

It is recommended to apply 2-3 sprays on the skin for a soft development and 1-2 on clothing to prolong the trail without overwhelming others.

Similar fragrances to expand your collection

If you liked Dalistyle, be sure to try similar fragrances such as Issey Miyake L'Eau d'Issey, Yves Rocher Ming Shu, and Gian Marco Venturi Girl.

These options also combine floral and fruity chords, offering alternative interpretations of fresh and feminine compositions.

Description of the composition

The Dalistyle note pyramid opens with a bright chord of top notes: black currant, lotus, mandarin, orange, and pear, creating a sensation of freshness and playfulness.

At the heart of the composition, delicate floral shades of freesia, gardenia, and peach blossom unfold, adding warmth and femininity.

The base of the fragrance envelops with soft and woody chords of berries, pear, sandalwood, vanilla, white cedar, and musk, ensuring longevity and a cozy finish.

This multi-layered structure, belonging to the floral and fruity families, smoothly transitions from initial vitality to deep sensuality, making each stage of development unique and memorable.

Persistence
The persistence of a fragrance is determined by how long it can be felt. It is a characteristic associated with ingredients that evaporate slowly. Persistence depends on the physical properties of the perfume ingredients—mainly their volatility and environmental factors such as temperature and humidity.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

Pear with lotus, this combination again. Sweetish-fresh, but somehow annoying and itchy smell. Such fragrances used to be at the peak of popularity, they were everywhere, and didn't seem so cliché. But now... I don't know what to think

The fragrance is light and fresh, like the air after rain. It settles so closely on the skin that it feels like it has become a part of it

The scent really resembles a lighter version of classic J'adore, as if a little cucumber juice was added to it. The melon, which is clearly audible here, paired with pear, might appeal to those who like such notes. Personally, it didn't suit me, and I'd gladly swap it. But "Be Spontaneous" by Avon seems like a much better option to me! The bottle, by the way, is very pretty, which is not often seen from this brand, but the color in the picture doesn't match reality - it's bright turquoise, like matte blue jade. I gave it a 🌟 for that

30 ml has been on my shelf for five years, I use it from time to time. I can't say it's my favorite, rather, I choose it based on my mood. The scent, in my opinion, is light and fresh, perfect for summer. If you don't overdo it, one spray on your hair is enough, then it won't bother you at all

The sound of this fragrance reminds me of something gone, as if spring will never return. It's both sour and sweet at the same time, but there's a certain sadness in it. Berries and pear are clearly audible, but instead of joy, they evoke longing. This isn't just a scent, it's a reminder that happiness is fleeting and departs, leaving only memories 🌧️

What an amazing and fresh scent! It's truly summery and feminine, yet it smells a little outdated. You can sense citrus notes, berries, pear, flowers, and even aquatic accents 🌸

It turned out to be some strange mix of aquatic freshness with sickly sweet compote, and in the end, we have Dalistyle. The scent is clearly chemical and irritating, not nostalgic, but rather typical of the mass market of the 90s. Honestly, it would be better if it had stayed in the past 😒

How different we all are. This fragrance used to be a real hit! Stylish, at the peak of popularity. But now I smell some sharp, chemical note that's just irritating. The aquatic note in the perfume is reminiscent of Issey Miyake's style, but here it's much more intense. In its dry-down, it's not interesting at all and sounds very monotonous

At 16, it seemed like a real miracle to me. My friend, my desk mate, had this perfume, and all through 10th grade, I enjoyed its scent. Fresh citruses without sweetness and a light floral note - it was something special. But now, when I tried it, it seemed too chemical to me. I applied it once and decided not to risk it again, so as not to ruin those pleasant memories of it 😔

As soon as this fragrance appeared, I just couldn't get enough of it! It settled so well on my skin and I really liked it… If you just smell the bottle, it might not seem that appealing… I let many people try it, but on me, it unfolded completely differently, with lightness and longevity, it was noble and pure… Men especially liked it when I wore it… Now I only have an empty bottle left, which seems to decorate my table. And the statuette itself still retains its scent. The smell was amazing - I really loved it 🌸

The bottle, honestly, isn't impressive. The scent is too sweet, as if someone decided to cover fruits in sugar and add flowers to them. No originality, just a set of banal notes. I don't think Salvador Dali's Dali Style will appeal to everyone. Rather, it's just another attempt to create something "feminine," but the result is just a cloying mix

Ugh, just awful! This scent smells like soap and acid. On me, it leaves some disgusting smell. It behaves completely unpredictably on the skin. I recommend testing it thoroughly before buying

Amazing fruity scent! It has watery lotus notes and sweet-and-sour berries. There's something a little vintage about this fragrance, but it's still very pleasant. A real delight

The fragrance has an aquatic-fruity sound. It seems light and pleasant, but there's a certain chemical note that's a bit unsettling. The lotus, like in Japanese perfumes, adds something disturbing, even itchy. Overall, it's quite light, but persistent

The fragrance is really strange. On one hand, it's light, but at the same time, there's a certain heaviness and even a bit of "chemical" feel. It's no wonder they put it in frosted glass. After it airs out a bit, it starts to smell soft and beautiful. You can feel notes of pear, vanilla, and peach, as well as aquatic accents. To some extent, it reminds me of Eclat Weekend by Oriflame, but very distantly 🤔
