Fragrance information:

Dalimix Salvador Dali arrived in 1996 — and it was immediately clear this one was here to stay. By character, a unisex fragrance drawing from the fruit and floral families. Perfumer Martin Gras is the author behind this composition. Part of the Dalimix collection, available as eau de toilette.

Expect a moderate sillage — enough to be remembered, not enough to overwhelm. It stays on the skin for a good while — longevity is firmly in the moderate range. Made in France. Dalimix Salvador Dali — the choice of those who appreciate depth and character in every detail.

Description of the composition

The scent of Dalimix evolves as a cohesive olfactory arc, where layers reveal themselves without rush and without gaps. The style of Salvador Dali comes through from the opening to the final trail. Every decision feels deliberate, and the structure feels complete all the way through. Eau de toilette emphasizes the depth and body this composition needs.

In the first seconds you sense vibrant berry opening notes: Mandarin, Melon and Peach. Exactly these 3 notes shape thrilling fruity juiciness that anchors the first impression immediately.

When the opening settles you notice Cyclamen, Reseda and Rose carrying a opulent floral direction.

The internal accord map is driven by these accords: Citrus, Floral, Fruit and Wood forming a compact and readable structure. The stylistic positioning is unisex, which sharpens how the fragrance is perceived. In longevity terms Middle indicates a stable lasting impression.

At the note-group layer the profile is anchored in Citrus, Fruit, Floral and Earthy / Mossy. The framework further includes Wood and Whiteflower.

Taken together Dalimix reads as a cohesive composition — the start forms character, the middle layer carries the identity, and the final phase leaves a stable imprint. This is the type of composition best understood on skin.

Persistence
The persistence of a fragrance is determined by how long it can be felt. It is a characteristic associated with ingredients that evaporate slowly. Persistence depends on the physical properties of the perfume ingredients—mainly their volatility and environmental factors such as temperature and humidity.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

Complexity and depth
The complexity of a fragrance is the number and variety of notes that create a unique composition. A complex fragrance contains many different notes that reveal themselves on the skin. The depth of a fragrance is the richness and intensity of the fragrance. Fragrances with a deep composition include heavy and powerful notes that stay on the skin longer and affect others over long distances.

This fragrance can hardly be called unisex. It's clearly feminine and too generic. The drydown is barely noticeable, and I don't understand who would like it. Young girls definitely won't be into it, and older women probably won't find it appealing either )

The scent is simply amazing. There's something special about it; it doesn't overwhelm your nose, but rather embraces you. Tenderness and memorability - that's what stands out in it. It's such a shame there's so little of it

Well, what can I say. The scent is like a melon, but so sickly sweet it's almost disgusting. Honestly, nothing special, just generic. It doesn't spark any interest at all, as if it never existed. Zero memorability, it just dissipates. And longevity? Yeah, that's not there either

This fragrance also seems quite strange to me. On one hand, it's fresh, but the floral notes can be overwhelming. I feel some kind of disharmony. I can't figure out what exactly causes this effect on my skin 🤔

The scent was truly wonderful, lasted all day, and clothes still smelled even after washing. I used it in my 26-30s, and bought the last bottle in 2003. Gentle, subtle, not cloying, with light notes of citrus and melon. Although it was positioned as unisex, it's clearly a women's perfume. Those unfamiliar with its smell can't even imagine what it's like. Men were simply lost for words. It's such a shame this brand no longer produces it
