What a cool scent! Simple, yet so refined at the same time. Morning roses from the garden, with velvety suede and a light spice of cardamom added to them-just bliss! I adore such things. And it's also long-lasting and leaves a gorgeous sillage, you can tell it's something truly expensive and elegant. Pure pleasure!

This smell, honestly, reminds me of a rose, but one that has already withered. There's vanilla here too, but it's somewhat cloying, as if they overdid it with sugar. Suede? Yes, maybe, but it feels like an old jacket that hasn't been worn in ages. Spices? They're somewhere in the background, but so faint that they're almost inaudible 😒

The Calimala fragrance truly surprises with its inspiration, which came from the medieval Florentine guild of cloth merchants. Perfumer Fabrice Pellegrin created something special using rose, patchouli, leather, and amber. This combination is reminiscent of Cuir Altesse by David Jourquin, but Calimala appears more refined and less intrusive. The rose here is not sweet, but rather with a light berry nuance at the beginning, yet very noble. The leather feels thin, like white powdery suede. The fragrance gradually transitions into woody-musky notes, eventually blending with the skin. It's truly an impressive creation! )

Out of this entire collection, this particular fragrance catches the eye - two roses, and with vanilla and suede too! I hope they somehow soften that nasty and intrusive cardamom 😒
