Description of the composition

The composition of Gardenia unfolds as an expressive line of development, where accents shift smoothly and sequentially. The creative approach of Schlossparfumerie is clear in details that define the fragrance identity. Every decision feels deliberate, and the fragrance holds its character from opening to trail.

The internal accord map rests on these accords: Floral, Fruit, Wood and Amber forming a compact and readable structure. The stylistic positioning is feminine, which clarifies the composition character.

From the first breath you detect juicy fruity first notes: Coconut and Peach.

At the core of development you meet Jasmine, Sandalwood and ylang-ylang holding a sensual jasmine direction. At the foundation the line is anchored through Ambergris and Vetiver, extending a viscous resinous trail.

At the note-group layer the composition is built around Fruit, Whiteflower, Wood and Ambery. The framework further includes Floral. From a family perspective the scent maps to Floral.

Overall Gardenia reads as a cohesive composition — the opening sets direction, the middle layer carries the identity, and the final phase leaves a stable imprint. These are the scent structures best judged on skin.

Persistence
The persistence of a fragrance is determined by how long it can be felt. It is a characteristic associated with ingredients that evaporate slowly. Persistence depends on the physical properties of the perfume ingredients—mainly their volatility and environmental factors such as temperature and humidity.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

Very conspicuous

Complexity and depth
The complexity of a fragrance is the number and variety of notes that create a unique composition. A complex fragrance contains many different notes that reveal themselves on the skin. The depth of a fragrance is the richness and intensity of the fragrance. Fragrances with a deep composition include heavy and powerful notes that stay on the skin longer and affect others over long distances.

Too bright and intense a fragrance, in my opinion. Ylang-ylang with coconut, plus this cloying sweetness. In the base, there's something creamy, reminiscent of skincare products. Femininity is certainly present here, but it's somehow too "blonde"
