Description of the composition

The note pyramid of L'Eau Scotch Shrunk evolves as a layered story, where notes flow without rush and without gaps. The style of Scotch & Soda is recognizable from the opening to the final trail. No excess details, only what works, and the fragrance holds its character from opening to trail. Eau de toilette supports the right density and pace of development.

The internal accord map is shaped by these accords: Citrus, Fruit, Musc and Wood forming a compact and readable structure. The stylistic positioning is masculine, which makes the scent profile easier to read. In longevity terms Middle points to a sustained drydown presence. In diffusion Noticeable defines the projection profile in space.

At the opening of the pyramid you sense juicy fruity top notes: Apple and Bergamot.

In the heart you meet Fig and Tea keeping a tempting fruity direction.

At the note-group layer the structure relies on Fruit, Citrus, Green and Wood. The framework further includes Musk and Earthy / Mossy. At family level the scent maps to Citrus and Green.

Taken together L'Eau Scotch Shrunk sounds complete from start to finish — the opening sets direction, the heart develops the core line, while the drydown anchors the memory. These are the scent structures best judged on skin.

Persistence
The persistence of a fragrance is determined by how long it can be felt. It is a characteristic associated with ingredients that evaporate slowly. Persistence depends on the physical properties of the perfume ingredients—mainly their volatility and environmental factors such as temperature and humidity.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

A cold tea scent with synthetic notes of apples and vetiver. It's really fresh and light, might appeal to young guys. But for me it's too sharp and bland 😕
