Description of the composition

The olfactory structure of For You is built as a layered story, where layers reveal themselves without rush and without gaps. The creative approach of Shirley May comes through in details that define the fragrance identity. No excess details, only what works, and the composition keeps a clear direction. Eau de toilette supports the depth and body this composition needs.

From the group perspective the composition is built around Green, Fruit, Floral and Ambery. The framework further includes Wood, Musk and Whiteflower. Within olfactory families the composition sits in Floral.

At the opening of the pyramid you meet grassy-green opening notes: Green Chord and Pomegranate.

At the core of development you notice Lotus, Orchid and Pink Peony carrying a opulent floral direction.

The internal accord map is driven by these accords: Floral, Fruit, Musc and Wood forming a compact and readable structure. Secondary accord layers such as Amber add depth to the backdrop. The stylistic positioning is feminine, which sharpens how the fragrance is perceived.

Overall For You sounds complete from start to finish — the start forms character, the middle layer carries the identity, and the base secures the trail. This is the type of composition best judged through real development.

Persistence
The persistence of a fragrance is determined by how long it can be felt. It is a characteristic associated with ingredients that evaporate slowly. Persistence depends on the physical properties of the perfume ingredients—mainly their volatility and environmental factors such as temperature and humidity.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

Very conspicuous

Complexity and depth
The complexity of a fragrance is the number and variety of notes that create a unique composition. A complex fragrance contains many different notes that reveal themselves on the skin. The depth of a fragrance is the richness and intensity of the fragrance. Fragrances with a deep composition include heavy and powerful notes that stay on the skin longer and affect others over long distances.

The fragrance is too bright, downright sharp, with this pomegranate-floral note. I feel like it's trying to resemble Amor Amor, but the berry quality here is somewhat primitive. Overall, its simplicity doesn't please me. Although for such a price, one can generally accept it
