Perfume information

Description of the composition

The olfactory structure of Kulsoom evolves as a layered story, where notes flow with precision and warmth. The signature of Shirley May is evident in the pacing of the notes and the overall aesthetic. Every decision feels deliberate, and the fragrance holds its character from opening to trail. Eau de toilette supports the right density and pace of development.

At the note-group layer the composition is built around Sweet, Fairy and Gourmet. From a family perspective the composition sits in East and Sweet.

As soon as the fragrance opens you sense honey-sweet opening note: Sweet Accord. This 1 note shapes a sweet enveloping resonance that anchors the first impression immediately.

In the central layer you detect Oriental notes holding a futuristic direction. In the final layer the line is anchored through Oriental notes, extending a abstract-amber trail.

The internal accord map is driven by these accords: Gourmet and Oriental without random overlap. The gender direction is feminine, which sharpens how the fragrance is perceived.

In summary Kulsoom reads as a cohesive composition — the opening sets direction, the middle layer carries the identity, and the final phase leaves a stable imprint. These are the fragrances best experienced through real development.

Persistence
The persistence of a fragrance is determined by how long it can be felt. It is a characteristic associated with ingredients that evaporate slowly. Persistence depends on the physical properties of the perfume ingredients—mainly their volatility and environmental factors such as temperature and humidity.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

Very conspicuous

Complexity and depth
The complexity of a fragrance is the number and variety of notes that create a unique composition. A complex fragrance contains many different notes that reveal themselves on the skin. The depth of a fragrance is the richness and intensity of the fragrance. Fragrances with a deep composition include heavy and powerful notes that stay on the skin longer and affect others over long distances.

The spices in this fragrance are simply overpowering, and the rose with vanilla caramel create a heavy feeling. It smells too bright, as if trying to overshadow everything around it. A classic of oriental perfumery, but alas, flat and lifeless
