Perfume information

Description of the composition

The olfactory structure of Scentual evolves as an expressive line of development, where accents shift without rush and without gaps. The signature of Shirley May is evident in the way notes appear and fade. Nothing here feels random, and the structure feels complete all the way through. Eau de toilette sets the depth and body this composition needs.

The internal accord map is driven by these accords: Musc and Spicy with each one in a clear role. The gender direction is feminine, which sharpens how the fragrance is perceived.

In the first seconds you catch piquant warm opening note: Spices. This 1 note builds voluminous spicy depth that gives the fragrance a clear opening statement.

In the heart you detect Vanilla carrying a dense confectionery direction. In the final layer the line is anchored through Spices and musk, shaping a deep spicy trail.

At olfactory-group level the structure relies on Spicy, Gourmet and Musk. From a family perspective the fragrance belongs to Spicy.

In summary Scentual sounds complete from start to finish — the start forms character, the heart develops the core line, and the final phase leaves a stable imprint. These are the fragrances best understood in wear.

Persistence
The persistence of a fragrance is determined by how long it can be felt. It is a characteristic associated with ingredients that evaporate slowly. Persistence depends on the physical properties of the perfume ingredients—mainly their volatility and environmental factors such as temperature and humidity.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

Complexity and depth
The complexity of a fragrance is the number and variety of notes that create a unique composition. A complex fragrance contains many different notes that reveal themselves on the skin. The depth of a fragrance is the richness and intensity of the fragrance. Fragrances with a deep composition include heavy and powerful notes that stay on the skin longer and affect others over long distances.

Sweet vanilla is clearly felt here, but it's kind of artificial, too cloying. Spices are also present, but overall the fragrance doesn't surprise. It's flat and doesn't change, as if stuck on one level 😕
