About Tulip Vanilla Iris Oil

Vanilla Iris Oil by the American niche brand Tulip is a unisex composition released in 2014.

It is part of a line of eau de parfums that embodies the brand's philosophy: simplicity, purity, and a deep connection with nature.

This creation was composed by perfumer Victoria England, known for her ability to convey the natural beauty of the botanical world.

The fragrance belongs to the Floral, Musky, and Woody families, making it multifaceted and distinctive. It has a moderate sillage—noticeable without overwhelming those around you.

It is an ideal choice for everyday wear, whether at the office or out for a walk. Thanks to its unisex character, it develops beautifully on any skin.

If you love Vanilla Iris Oil, consider similar fragrances: Montale So Iris Intense, Montale White Aoud, and Al-Rehab Al Nourus.

They are all united by the interplay of iris and warm woody-musky nuances.

Description of the composition

Persistence
The persistence of a fragrance is determined by how long it can be felt. It is a characteristic associated with ingredients that evaporate slowly. Persistence depends on the physical properties of the perfume ingredients—mainly their volatility and environmental factors such as temperature and humidity.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

Complexity and depth
The complexity of a fragrance is the number and variety of notes that create a unique composition. A complex fragrance contains many different notes that reveal themselves on the skin. The depth of a fragrance is the richness and intensity of the fragrance. Fragrances with a deep composition include heavy and powerful notes that stay on the skin longer and affect others over long distances.

The format this fragrance is in isn't really letting it shine. I can't say how it'd smell in an alcohol version, but right now it just feels too simple - just vanilla. Such a shame it turned out like this, 'cause I actually liked the other scents from this brand that I tried in alcohol format. Haven't gotten to try a ton from them yet, but what I did try left a good impression
